Hello everyone,
I drilled my Boom 90 X 4.5 X 70 (PAP- 4 7/8 over & 5/8 up) with no extra hole.
Surface is box: 1000 abralon and factory finish polish.
This piece is a great compliment to my Smash. I drilled the Smash a little stronger than the Boom, but the layouts are very similar.
When I throw the Boom I stand 4-5 boards left on the approach b/c it does go longer than my Smash. This is good b/c I can start with the Smash and when the shot breaks down I can just ball down to the Boom and stay in the same part of the lane.
My intent was to have two balls that complimented each other well for the short and/or drier conditions that I may run into. These 2 balls work best for me on any lane pattern b/t 35-38 feet and especially on lower volume patterns in general.
No matter where I go these balls will be with me b/c I don't run into many houses locally that put out a lot of oil, therefore I do end up throwing them quite often.
As always if you have any questions feel free to ask.
