Drilled the boom with the pin an 1 1/2 over the ring finger  and cg just below the bridge. Left this ball box finish. Out of the box this ball reminded me of a stronger clash. This ball has a smooth roll but has tendency to be a little speed sensitive on most conditions for me. I took the ball down to 500 abalone and put factory finish polish on it. This got the ball to read a little earlier, and made it overall stronger. It is not as speed sensitive as out of the box. Anther great low end ball by ebonite. Good job guys

GOT MY BALL WITH A PIN OF 3-4, I DRILLED IT WITH THE PIN ABOVE THE MIDDLE FINGER AND THE CG SWUNG OUT A BIT WITH NO WEIGHT HOLE. I USED THIS BALL OUT OF THE BOX FINISH AND ON A FRESH HOUSE SHOT. THIS BALL WITH THIS DRILLING GETS DOWN THE LANE WITH EASE, AND WHEN IT GETS TO THE BACKEND IT IS A GRADUAL ROLL TO THE POCKET, WITHOUT AND JERKY MOTION. THIS BALL HAS A GREAT SHELF APPEARANCE AND WILL FIT IN ANY BOWLERS BAG, AND SHOULD BE USED ON MEDIUM AND MORE TO LIGHTER OIL PATTERNS.

I have the Boom and Smash drilled the same.  Pin is 5" from PAP and 3" from VAL, MB at 65 degrees.  The Boom goes longer than my Smash with more snap at the backend.  It is a great piece for me on shorter/lighter volume patterns.

Hello everyone,

I drilled my Boom 90 X 4.5 X 70 (PAP- 4 7/8 over & 5/8 up) with no extra hole.

Surface is box: 1000 abralon and factory finish polish.

This piece is a great compliment to my Smash. I drilled the Smash a little stronger than the Boom, but the layouts are very similar.

When I throw the Boom I stand 4-5 boards left on the approach b/c it does go longer than my Smash. This is good b/c I can start with the Smash and when the shot breaks down I can just ball down to the Boom and stay in the same part of the lane.

My intent was to have two balls that complimented each other well for the short and/or drier conditions that I may run into. These 2 balls work best for me on any lane pattern b/t 35-38 feet and especially on lower volume patterns in general.

No matter where I go these balls will be with me b/c I don't run into many houses locally that put out a lot of oil, therefore I do end up throwing them quite often.

As always if you have any questions feel free to ask.
