The ball is flat out amazing! Mine had a 2-3" pin and I wanted pin above fingers, because I have a pin below ring finger. I placed the pin above ring finger and the mb is 2" right of the thumb. The great thing is the cg is just below and right of ring finger, so I drilled the fingers deeper and didn't need a weight hole. Tonight in league I go 268, 235 I missed one shot and left a split, and 300 = 803. That's my second 300 and second 800 in this summer league. This ball flat out rocks!!! I had 731 in Monday night league, 721 last Thursday night and 763 last Monday night. I was playing 22 to 12 and didn't hit up on the ball just smooth release, I'm a down and in stroker and had a get read all night! Great ball, too bad it's been discontinued, but I tested the NVD last week and it's a stronger version of this ball! Just my $.02, Bruce

Hook-ingest pearl for 2008 and I can not see another ball out hooking it for a pearl. It doesn't push as far as I would like to see it but if you have slicker lanes it can't be touched. Lay-ed the first one out with a 4.5" pin and 70 degree MB just to find it too strong and I could not get far enough left ( I am limited to about 25 ). Lay-ed the second one out with a 5" pin out and 80 degree MB and it was the ticket for most house conditions. Plan on playing around 15 out as anything farther right and it will hook too much. Great ball for those slicker lanes you run into.

Great ball. i recently bought to replace my angular one. what a difference. this ball has more power behind it than the angular. it hooks in the medium to medium heavy shots and its amazing. its the only ball i use now. you can hook the lanes or you can throw a Walter Ray shot, down and in. the thing you have to do with this ball is keep your speed up. if you get slow with your speed, it will go through the nose, and if you throw it too  fast, it will still react but leave a weak 10 pin. great ball would reccommend to anyone who can throw the ball and can find it.

Sarge Easter Grips w/IT thumb. 15lb with a 3.5" pin. Drilled this one with the pin above the bridge and mb 1.5" right of my thumb. Initially i didnt get much reaction out of this ball. I thought this might be the dud everyone was talking about. Didn't touch the surface and all of sudden it just started turning the corner for me. This is a real awesome piece for my equipment because it gives me the same length as my Angular One but has about five boards more hook and you see it all on the backend! Thanks to Monty Stratton of Bowlers Depot Oceanside.

Weight--16 lbs
Drill Pattern-----#1 on the sheet---pin above the bridge, Cg kicked out with a weight hole above the grip midline.
Coverstock---started OOB,but later taken down to 1000 Abralon.
Lane Conditions---THS
Lanes---Brunswick Pro Anvil Lanes
I was basically given this ball---long story that I won't relate now.

Once I got used to letting this ball go and not trying to point it into the pocket,it was very forgiving. It easily handled the THS I bowl on. On target shots sent all ten into the pit.Shots sent right of target recovered well, but too light resulted in 7 pins on occasion. Tugged shots held in the oil and carried more often than not. Carrydown wasn't much of a problem for the ball--it was usually operator error.                                                 OOB was NOT a very good ball reaction---I seemed to get over under, but taking it down to 1000 Abralon was the trick for my style of bowling.               Shot multiple 700's with this ball, including 300 in April of 2008.

This ball has been beat up in many reviews and I can’t figure out why. I got one for a good price on eBay and it has treated me well when I throw it right.  It hasn’t died as some have noted and still packs a real punch.  True I am a stroker with a down and in game, but bowling is bowling, right. Sure does seem like a lot of folks just want to give up on a ball just so they can get a new one.  Some simple ball maintenance after you are done goes a long way.  I clean it with Ebonite energizer after each night of bowling and hit it with a 2000 abralon pad once a month.  Hope this helps the novices like me, as for the pros out there I could only dream to afford a new ball every 6 months or less.

Ok I got this ball when it came out. Honestly I hated it. However I started using it again and have come to like the way it rolls. In Heavier oil it kinda dies out and doesnt come up with alot of punch but in a dryer lane it comes up nicely.
