I did the Ebonite demo day this past Sunday...Now get this, I am a decent league bowler 194 average. I am using an Ebonite Tornado TPS (also have a Hammer Diesel and X-Factor). For some reason, the Tornado reacts the best for me. It has a late break that the other balls don't have. Anyway, I compared my Tornado to the V2 Strong and it was no comparison. The V2 Strong is not strong at all. I dont understand it, but it was about the same as the Tornado....
Very strange.

I got this one before it's November release.  Wicked looking ball.  It came with a 3 inch pin and about 3 oz. top weight.  No balance hole and a label drill with the pin kicked out next to the ring finger.  16 mph, medium-high revs, right handed.  I've only bowled 3 games with this ball on a league pattern and it HITS HARD!  Doesn't seem to have quite as much backend snap as I thought it would, but it is still very strong.  I found the most success with the Ebonite V2 Strong/R going around 10 at the arrows to 5 at the breakpoint (around 30 feet).  It starts turning fairly early, but then takes a very slight arcing turn to the pocket with lots of drive.  This ball didn't snap, it just had a very strong arcing motion.  Great ball for most league shots.  Forgiving on weak pocket shots too.  I got about 7 inches of flare playing this line.  Highly recommended ball... Just don't expect much of a skid/flip reaction.

id have to say quite possibly the best ball ebonite has came out with this passed year. the call carrys really well hitz ultra hard when u nail the pocket. i have it drilled with a 4 inch pin from my pap and it is very versitle it will hook in heavy oil and on lighter oil patter moving in side it will hold and turn right on the back end. id say on a scale of 1 to 10 this ball is a 9 definetly worth the money

Just had mine drilled up. Leverage with pin right of ring, CG right under. Oh, yeah that extra hole thing. hehe. Wanted something for heavier oil patterns. This should do the trick. Moves quicker and stronger than my V2 Strong. Tried it on both inside and far-outside lines and it came back just as nice, hits like a loaded school bus. Leaving it in box-surface for now. Very nice addition to the V2 lineup.

THIS IS ANOTHER GREAT NEW STAPLE BALL. A PIECE THAT ALLOWS YOU TO EASILY READ LANES AND ADJUST ACCORDINGLY. AS MANY OF YOU KNOW THE V2 SERIES HAVE BEEN A SOLID PERFORMING LINE REGARDLESS OF BOWLING EXPERIENCE. THIS IS IN MY OPINION, STRONGER THAN THE ORGINAL V2 SANDED AND HAS MORE BACKEND. ABOUT 80% OF THE TIME IS THE FIRST BALL OUT MY BAG. THE V2 STRONG/R IS EASY TO POLISH AND RESURFACE. SO IF YOUR LOOKING FOR THAT ALL AROUND PIECE OF EQUIPMENT, GRAB THE V2 STRONG/R FROM EBONITE.

This balls reaction with the above drilling is the greatest drilling i've had, and by far my favorite.

The ball SKKKKKIIIIIIDDDDDDSSSSS the first 35-40 ft of the lane, and then takes a SHARP backend reaction towards the pocket.

The pin action is oustanding on this, Left one 9 pin in 35 games.

The ball also is versatile on medium-heavy conditions, and it makes the lanes very easy to read.

The color of the ball is cool especially watching go down the lane.

The ball dosen't chip at all too. In 35 games in 4 different houses, not one chip in the ball

i dunno what everyone else thinks about the ball, but i have been told that it sucks as a bowling ball, but i absolutely love it! its a great ball and i am in love with it. this will be the first ball outta my bagon league nights and probably the last one in...it has more overall hook than my alter ego, and the color of it rolling down the lane is awesome! hits the pins very hard, keeps messengers low, and the overall pin carry is tremendous. if u have heard anything bad about this ball, i am saying: DO NOT BELIEVE IT! this ball is very nice, and has a nice, strong roll. i would recommend this ball for anyone.

A quick update. This was sitting in the bag idle for a while. Decided to shine it up, since it did not seem to want to finish as strong. I'm probably getting two to three times the backend from it now.

Very good ball had it drilled with pin 1/2 above the two finger holes splitting them. Very good in heavy oil will always have a strong predictable backend. In the drier conditions take the walter ray approach and put more ball speed and it will work just as well. When ball hits the pocket it blows those pins away only leaving one solid 10 in 35 games grat ball by ebonite. Got the ball down here in corpus where that tournament is going on. It just got discontinued got the ball for $55.

Lefty
Ball Speed ~18mph
cranker
Ball drilled for early roll, max hook., drilling pattern #1

This ball is honestly unbelievable.  I was questioning the coverstock at first, I was maybe going to have it sanded, and I'm glad I didn't because it bites really hard.  I'm yet to miss the pocket to the left because I really am having a tough time getting the ball out that far with the way it bites at the backend.  I generally average around 165 with house balls, finally went out and bought this guy.  First time with it, 5 games, 165, 228, 239, 212, 180.  Just felt like a different bowler.  The strike range is just almost unfairly huge.  For people scared that this thing doesn't hook enough, think again, this ball is the real deal.  Highly recommended.

I have been using this ball for about 7 months now and omg when you hit that sweet spot in the pocket it sounds like a bomb. And ever since I got this ball I don't leave a lot of 10 pins.
