The Bash combines the success of lower-end balls like those in the Ice line with updated material and a great price-point! All bowlers will get the “Bash for the buck!” out of this ball.

Comparable to the Clash, this is also a GREAT ball for first time bowlers or those bowlers with slower ball speeds / revolution rates.

This ball is extremely versatile on medium to light conditions. Out of the box the ball is great for dryer conditions. Similar to the Clash this ball is very clean through the front and middle areas of the lane; however, the Bash tips very smooth off of the break-point. The ball conveys a motion that is deceiving for the hitting power received. I have been able to control a “squirty” lane with this ball and play in the track when needed on any house pattern for different hand positions. Most league bowlers love this ball because it allows them to control the back ends of the lane when they are “screaming” or very clean.

Other Ebonite Amateur staff members (on the left side) love this ball! They are able to control (more then normal) their reaction and play straighter in dryer areas of the lane optimizing their carry and raising their scores.

For higher-revolution players this ball’s surface is able to be tweaked and dulled to provide a little earlier roll with controllable back end when having to play up a lane on a medium oiled condition or on fresher/flatter patterns. I currently have altered my bash with a 2000 Abralon pad and still possess the clean reaction through the front and middle part of the lane, however, the duller surface allows for the ball to read the friction a little earlier with a smooth continuous motion and incredible hitting power for a low-end bowling ball.

First off let me state my story.  I grew up using urethane in the 80's.  I have never had my rpm's measured, but I have been told by others that it is somewhere in the Robert Smith range. I throw around 18 to 19 mph. on my strike ball. I quit bowling in the early 90's and have just came back to it in the last couple years.  Still throwing a 92 blue hammer.  Decided it was time to purchase something up to date.

I first tried a Storm hybrid drilled label. Could not get it much past the arrows before it began to hook.  My hand release is from behind the ball.

Next try was a Pure Hammer.  Billed as a ball that was as close as urethane you could get today.  Also had this one drilled neutral.  This ball had a flare somewhere around 6 to 7 inches.  This also would not get much past the arrows before it began to hook.

After playing around with a few of my friends bowling balls, I have found out that I need a pearl reactive bowling ball.

I went to Ebonite's web site and looked at the Bash.  The differential being .031 interested me because that meant it wasn't a large flaring ball.  I purchased it and had it drilled using Ebonite's drilling #8 High rg strong.  

This is exactly what I needed.  The bowling alley that I bowl at has Brunswick Anvilane lanes.  They oil pretty heavy with not alot of backend.

After the first game of experimenting with the Bash, "175", followed with couple nine pins "258", then "232" 4-10 split in ninth.  Needless to say I am very pleased with this ball.  Will try it out at other lanes to see if it works that well on different oil patterns.

Comes out of box 1000 grit changed to 2000 and re-polished before first games.  May go to 4000 if too much grab on dry boards to get it down the lane farther.

Sorry about the lengthy review, but I just wanted to let people know that there is some balls out there that an above average cranker can use on a house shot. Just stay with symmetrical cores, pearl reactive, and rg below .040.

I thought i would post a review on my newest ball i got and decided to drill Rico.  I bought this ball to be a weaker ball in my arsenal.  I thought long and hard, not really, about trying a Rico Layout on a ball for a little while and decided on putting it on this ball.  

I checked with good ol Beans to see if it was a good idea to put Rico on this ball.  He had to get the top weight checked to see if it wasn't too high and it wasn't.  So i got it drilled.

I went bowling shortly after wards to see what kind of reaction it would get.  Well first off the pair I was on wasn't the greatest so i probably didn't get a good enough read from the balls reaction.

Well now for the reaction : I knew the ball was weaker in nature so i tried to play a line i usually don't play, down and in with more of a straighter shot, as i tend to stand mid approach and throw over second arrow and out to about 8.  I was playing around 10 to about 5 or so it was much straighter than i usually play like i said but i was getting a VERY SMOOTH reaction from it with a tiny snap on the backend but it was still very smooth on the back.  I was impressed for the 2 games i threw with it before i hurt my knee.  

Overall i like the ball so far.  Its definitely a ball i needed for a while now and finally have.

NOTE:  This review is for the SOLID Bash, which is not listed...

My Specs: LH, 18MPH, 300RPM, 25 deg rotation, 12-15 deg tilt, PAP 5 1/4 & 5/8

I LOVE this ball!  This is one of the best smaller solids out.  I can pull this ball out when the pattern breaks down, but there is still a better reaction when the you use a smoother ball to control the back end.  This ball is very clean through the front, with a smooth, predictable roll up reaction at the back.  It's a perfect choice for drier patterns, house shots, or the later stages of a tournament on many patterns.

I drilled mine pin over the bridge, about a 50 degree layout, 5" off axis with about a 55 degree angle to VAL.

Everyone should have one small solid reactive in their bag like the solid Bash.
