Drilled the lane breaker with the pin under the ring finger and the cg kicked out 45 degrees (one inch pin). I left this ball box finish to start. This ball has a smooth reaction to it. Fairly strong but weaker then the game breaker. I have thrown it in my pba league on the chameleon pattern for two weeks now, and can not put it down. I think I will be keeping this one with the factory finish on it and trying some surface with my other one.

JUST GOT AROUND TO PUNCH A COUPLE BALLS, THE SECOND ONE IS THE EBONITE LANEBREAKER. FIRST, I LAYED IT OUT WITH THE PIN BELOW MY RING FINGER AND THE CG SWUNG OUT ABOUT 2 INCHES. SECOND, I USED THE BALL OUT OF THE BOX AND IT NEEDED A WEIGHT HOLE WHICH I PUT IN ABOUT 5 INCHES OVER ON MY AXIS, AND WAS USED ON A HOUSE SUMMER PATTERN WHICH IS A BIT LIGHTER THAN THE FALL SHOT. THIRD, THE BALL IS CLEAN THRU THE FRONTS AND ALSO GETS THRU THE MIDLANE CLEAN AND MAKES A SMOOTH BUT STRONG Predictable MOVE TO THE POCKET AND DOESN'T STOP, THIS BALL WILL BE A BIG HIT WITH MANY BOWLERS. I WOULD RECCOMMEND THIS BALL TO ANY TYPE OF BOWLER, BALL SEEMS TO BE ONE OF THE ALL AROUND VERSTITILE BALLS ON THE MARKET SO FAR THIS YEAR. ANOTHER HIT FROM EBONITE, WAY TO GO ON THIS ONE KEEP UP THE GREAT BALL PRODUCTION.

Another great ball in this series! I used one of my favorite layouts on this ball. I drilled the pin out of the ring finger(about a 4 inch pin for me)kicked the CG out about an inch and half with a small hole. I took the surface from out of the box down to 2000. My rev rate is in the range of about 280-300. The ball clears the front very easily and gives me a very predictable backend reaction. If you have liked any prior balls in this series, you'll love the Lanebreaker. A must in any serious bowlers arsenal.

This ball should win ball of the year. I have never had better ball reaction before. I can use this on long and medium volumes of oil. Carries everything it hits. Extremely strong on the backend, whether they are fresh or fried. Haven't had it hook early yet. Should have bought another one. Just a great ball

I am a lefty with a rev rate in the mid 300s. I throw between 16-19 mph depending on the condition. I have 7 degrees of axis tilt and my axis rotation varies. My personal PAP is 4 7/8" over and 5/8" up.

Ebonite's Lane Breaker is a great addition. I have had the opportunity to drill 2 Lane Breakers and use them regularly.

L.B. #1
"RICO" layout, extra hole 6 3/4 from pin through CG w/ 1" drill bit 2.5" deep.
Surface is 2000 grit abralon.

L.B. #2
5" X 4.5"(pin, cg), pin 1.5" up from midline w/ no extra hole.
Surface is box lightly "dusted" with a used 2000 abralon to break the cover.

So far I've used the balls primarily on THS, Chameleon, Shark, and Scorpion.

On the longer patterns (shark and scorpion) I've been able to square up and play the track area with decent success. I typically use stronger asymmetrical pieces for these patterns so I wasn't too worried when I saw some squirt on the fresh. After 2 or 3 games this ball feels right at home and allows me to play around the same zone on the lane.

Chameleon and any medium length patterns (37-42 ft.) seem to be the best match up for me with these pieces. When there is more volume I'll start with the RICO L.B. and as the heads go and I need to move deeper I'll go to my weaker drilled L.B. They are perfect compliments.

Shorter patterns are difficult to match up with b/c the ball changes direction a lot earlier and is harder to control. If you can amp up the speed though this piece has potential on these types of patterns.

THS- I've already shot 3 300's and 2 800 series' with my Lane Breakers. They offer tremendous versatility and allow me to play all over the lane with minor physical adjustments.

Overall I find that I match up well with the Traxion 0.48 cover. I have an X-OUT NVD that I punched up and use that ball when I'm having trouble getting the L.B. to read the midlane. The Lane Breaker can be a great benchmark ball and is very comparable to the Game Breaker if you knock the polish off. It just reads the lane well and you really have to launch this ball to get it to shoot past the break point. No matter where I go, there will always be at least one Lane Breaker in my bag.
