Likes: I like that Ebonite did something different and put out a pearl cover ball without shining it up. How many times do we get a pearl ball and end up taking off the polish or compound anyway? I've seen several reviews where people were making them shiny, but I think this ball rolls well just the way it is. It picks up earlier than most Pearls and has a smoother motion but isn't that what you want to control the back ends on most patterns? Joey Tribiani once said, “I like it. What’s not to like? Custard? Good. Jam? Good. Meat? Good.” Well I say, "Smooth? Good. Surface? Good. Strikes? Good. I like it."

This ball has become my first ball out of the bag for our house league. Kept the surface pretty clean at 500-1k and put a 55-4.5-40 layout on this pearl reactive Special Edition. The motion is great on the fresh, and its down lane energy, supplied by the pearl HK22, gives it enough response to supply a very predictable reaction.

 The Big Time Special Edition is a symmetrical Pearl and clears the front of the easilyf and doesn't quit on the backend. Very good for heavy oil conditions. A lot of bang for your buck

Big Time SE - House Patterns and Sport Patterns

The Big Time SE has really good shape sometimes a little too good.  Meaning it is there, there then the movement is so strong off the spot the back row is waving at you sometimes with friends.  The good thing about that The Big Time SE it takes polish and surface well, this is one of those bowling balls when it lane polishes you are not mad to see it, just be careful that it doesn’t lane polish too much and totally lose reaction.  It is a battle of looking good versus looking great really no middle.  So, I suggest if you find a surface you like try to keep it that way.
