Take a ride into the danger zone with the Ebonite Maverick bowling ball. This high performance bowling ball features the Maverick core which was based on the successful Warrior core. This core was designed to produce an increased revving action in order to produce a sharp hooking motion. This core has an increased volume of mass at the opposite end from the pin enabling the ball to maintain more energy for the backend. This ball uses Ebonite's GB 14.0 solid coverstock which provides great mid lane traction, continuation, and pin carry.

Layout:
5 x 4  PIN over bridge. No extra hole. MB in strong position
15lb BOX Specs: 3-4" pin, 3.0oz

The new GB 14.0 Solid cover stock is awesome! The name says it all. On a fresh medium/high volume 43' house pattern, this ball excelled. This ball is the strongest asymmetric ball in the current Ebonite line. I was able to use this for about 2 games before the ball began to read too early and the downlane reaction went away. That is typical in todays environment as the oil is picked up off from the front of the lane. This ball has hard hitting power to it and excellent carry. I recently bowled on a PBA 47' Scorpion pattern on an Anvilane surface. I added some surface (500 Abralon) to the ball since I wanted early read. This ball did not disappoint. With the added traction I was able to play close to the pocket with the nice movement and power that I saw on the house pattern. This ball hooks the Warrior Supreme by a good 2-3 boards. This ball is strong and predictable. I can't wait for a pearl version.

By producing a modified version of the warrior core the Maverick will provide additional motion in the mid part of the lane and more continuation through the pin deck.

I had been missing a ball that allowed me to control the back ends on fresh, high volume patterns and the Maverick fills that hole perfectly.  The pin down layout I chose gets this ball started early enough to handle plenty of volume, but it still provides enough motion down lane to get me through the first few games of a tournament on a sport compliant condition.

For the house pattern, this ball is a winner.  House shots are often “over-walled” and the Maverick helps blend that reaction out perfectly to produce a consistent ball motion through the pocket.  Predictability and continuation are the main properties for the Maverick, a ball motion that all bowlers need.
