right handed
style: power cranker with above average revs.
speed: 17.5 -18 depending on the condition.
Pap: 5 1/8 over 5/8 up.
layout: pin under bridge with cg swung at 60 degrees with the oob finish
I have one of the few mismarks. it has the stamp of the infinte cover when it should have the stamp of the ones cover
bowling on the chameleon started with feet at 20 out to15 at the arrows and breakpoint @ 6. this ball was just too strong for this line. moved to the inside standing @ 35 out to about 22 and this ball showed its power. this ball has a sharp angular motion of the dry. similar to the old roto grip oracle vision imo. I can see this as one of my heavy oil monsters as it needs oil. two more weeks til the shark then I will add another post as this ball is a lil too much for me on the chameleon. will add pics saturday

Intentions: Heavier patterns, with more length, and biggest moving ball in the bag.
Review:
Ball is flat out amazing. I went from no grips, to Vacu inserts, and it took awhile to getting used to. I believe the grips let me get around the ball more, causing more revelations and more security of grip coming off my hand. Tonight, I used this ball exclusively on the Shark Pattern, and shot very very well with it. Went 615 clean, and was very surprised on how well this ball reacted. Definatly a keeper!
Also, I had it polished at 2000. I wish I would of just kept it at 2000 for tonight, because I think I could of easily shot 50 pins higher without the polish. Thanks Ebonite for another great release!
Overall: 10/10 Ball! Very predictable and just what I wanted in my arsenal. I loved the reaction.

For higher revving folks, don't drill too strong. Keep the pin closer to mid-line and keep the mass bias to a higher angle (50-80 degrees) to keep the reaction smooth for most shots.

I am a Lefty: 13-14 Mph Stroker with lower revs.
Ball is drilled with the #2 drilling pin under ring finger.
On the fresh house shot with OOB finish the ball did not
move to the pocket as I was expecting. I took the cover
down to 1500 and now the ball moves more like I expected and
want. I cannot compare it to the orginal V2 as I have never had one.
This ball is very smooth and really keeps the pins low on the deck.
It hits like a train!
It is a great compliment to my Sr300.
I would recommend this ball to everyone!

I was not a huge fan of the The One coverstock initially; however, the V2 core makes me a believer! Despite the box-surface of the ball being dull, this ball still was extremely clean through the front part of the lane with very controlling and continuous back-end. I was shocked testing this ball and TRYING to “ping†a 10-pin (leave a flat 10-pin) and I could not do it. I was able to play all parts of the lane and no matter the hand position or amount of boards crossed, this ball kept its energy and exploded through the pin deck.
Similar to the V2 Sanded, this ball will naturally shine up over time. This will change the reaction and motion slightly, however, is not something to worry about. I have found, over time, my Game Breaker is becoming more controllable and will give me slightly more length with the predictable and strong backend I had initially had out of the box.
I have found this ball to be great on all house conditions as well as when the lanes begin to transition. It is extremely predictable surprisingly great on the fresh. I have changed the manageable surface to 1000 Abralon sanded with factory finish polish and have great control through the front part of the lane with the ball reading the middle and great back end with the polished surface. You will be missing out if you do not have a Game Breaker in your bag this season!

Loved the Original V2 Sanded. When I saw the v2 core was going to be on a newer shell, I got really excited. I have bowled with this ball like the angular one on the Viper, Scorpion, and the chameleon patterns. This ball works well on all three of these patterns for the first two-four games. The ball is very midlane, and a smooth reaction. The viper pattern I tended to play between fourth and fifth arrow, feeding it to 10-12 board. This ball gives me lots of room the deeper I get on this pattern (this is my favorite pba pattern). The Chameleon I had to play a little farther right, but once the shot opened up I can get left. This shot breaks down almost into the viper, I think. Just keep getting deeper and deeper. The Scorpion pattern plays well with this ball around seven eight board. Breakpoint around 4-5 area. I can only use this ball for a few games until it breaks down then I must switch to the RXS 300, and then the angular one.

Got this ball in a trade with a friend of mine. He didn't like it at all, but his release has more sideturn and natural skid than mine does, so when he said it didn't seem to roll well for him, I hoped that had good meanings for me, and I think it did!
First time out, the ball still had the factory finish on it and seemed to die out a bit just as it entered the pocket area. VERY PREDICTABLE ROLL, just couldn't seem to get that 10 pin out on a consistent basis.
Took it into the shop where I threw it on the scales. To my surprise, the ball was loaded with 3/4 finger and 1.1 oz positive side. I added a small amount of polish over the factory finish and a small x-hole on the grip midline, 4 1/2 inches from the grip center ( 3 inches past cg ), leaving it with 3/4 finger and just less than 3/4 side weight, then, back out to the lanes for another go.
What a difference!. Ball now cleared the heads much easier and had more "POP" at the rack, taking out the tenpin at a much highly accelerated rate than before. After three full sets with the ball, I am averaging a bit over 220 and that's not bad, considering I have been struggling this year and have a hard time getting my average much over 210.
The ball doesn't like a lot of sideturn, it really wants to be rolled ( for me at least ), but when I stay behind it decently, it is as predictable as a woman who got a vaccuum cleaner for her 25th wedding anniversary. ( Yes, we ALL know what happens here!)
For me, the ball is set up with about a 3 X 3 drilling, and if I had it to do over myself, I think I would use a little longer pin to pap as this ball likes to get into a roll early anyway with its low rg. I believe that a longer pin to pap, with a higher pin placement, would allow me to use it with more surface and still get close to the same results.
This ball has become a favorite very quickly. Oddly enough, I never liked the original V2 that much. Maybe with this coverstock it is just a much better matchup for me.

I drilled a 14lbs Gambreaker with the pin in the strong position. Surface is OOB. My intention was to get as much as possible out of this beast. Beacuse it is a BEAST.

I drilled it in a center other than my local one. That particular center had a shorter oil pattern, which isn't really what i got my ball for. Needless to say, it overreacted on every shot. However, when i did hit the pocket the ball looked pretty dead to me, but it almost never left a flat or ringing ten pin. As soon as it hit the pocket, it just plowed all of the pins away from the deck. I couldn't wait to try it out on a long, heavy pattern.
My local house has a longer pattern, but it doesn't have much oil, and i furiously struggled to average even 180. I just couldn't seem to hit the pocket. On to the next center...
I entered a tournament in a house which has a very generous amount of oil on their lanes. Long pattern, too. And finally the Gamebreaker springs to life! I shot 234, 226 for the first two games but lost reaction in the third, so i switched balls after that.
I've now bowled 30 games with this ball, and i've read from other reviews that this ball only lasts 50-ish games before it starts losing reaction. So far, i haven't noticed any decrease of power.
If you are having problems with your balls not gripping the lane enough, the Gamebreaker certainly isn't a bad idea. In fact, it's the best mid-price bowling ball i have ever had the pleasure of rolling down a lane. Ebonite puts this ball in their "silver" performance. What's so "silver" about it, i don't know. It's all gold to me.
I clean it after each session with Ultimate Cleaner.

This is my first ebonite ball and was surprised at how much of a powerhouse this ball is. I got it drilled at 4.5 X 5 so it would allow me to play inside 0f 19-20. Kept it at factory finish and got heavy midlane roll with a continuous arcing backend. When it hit the pins it sounded like a freight train. Having so far only bowled 3 games with it and had alot of trip 4's & 7's, even when i tugged on the ball the reaction was not too jerky.I much prefer a skip/ snap, but the reaction i was getting from this ball makes me want to broaden my outlook. I would definitely carry this ball in my bag on league night.

I have used to seven times and shot over 700 6 out of the 7 and I shot a 300 with it during the 7th for a 751. This ball reads great threw the heads and does not over react in the dry. It still hooks in heavy oil too. This ball for me is a 10 out of 10. I have played numerous lines with this ball and has always had enough power to carry all ten. Great job ebonite.

I have average revs and speed, high track.
I have only thrown this on house shot so far.
When I was out to buy a new ball, this was the one I overlooked. I wasn't sure about how strong it really was, but let this be the verdict: The ball is stronger than advertised. I feel this is the biggest moving ball on the market right now.
I got my ball drilled 3 ½ x 3 ½ (http://"http://www.absolutebowling.com/forums/uploaded/1507_1201828528.jpg"), the pin 3 ¼" above my midline.
Heavy oil:
I have yet to throw the Gamebreaker on "heavy oil," but from what I've seen, it doesn't look like it will be a problem. This ball rolls early but has plenty of energy to come back.
Medium:
On typical league conditions, this ball was outhooking everything else I saw, and it did it very well. The ball was very smooth, but very predictable. It was also very forgiving, given the ball's strength. Shots sent to the outside came back smoothly (but did tend to leave flat 10s because it burned up). Shots missed inside would hold. For higher rev rate player, I feel this ball might be too strong for these types of oil conditions, but polish it to your liking.
Light:
Burn up roll out.
I have also thrown this ball for a four-game series on the PBA Scorpion pattern. The Gamebreaker was very clean and predictable, given the unfamiliar condition. Having never bowled on any sport pattern before, I felt the Gamebreaker was a great pick.
Carrydown:
Because of the ball's strength, the Gamebreaker does very well here. At 2000, I don't find myself moving too much with 3 games of play, but it really depends; sometimes I'll move ten boards, sometimes two.
Overall, this is a very strong, smooth, and versatile ball. I also like the fact that this ball's core is symmetrical. If you need a stronger ball, seriously consider the Gamebreaker.

I have to say that there was no ball that I was looking more forward to then this release since I had such a great luck with the V2 core, and the one cover. The sad thing though is this ball is a POS. I've done everything to this ball from surface to plugging and re-drilling it, but nothing has worked it might have the V2 core, but a V2 it is not. I think I'm really just not sold on the One cover on anything but pearl balls. I got this ball for free and I'm really glad, because I would've been quite upset if I had wasted money on it. If you want a nice piece pick up a bite or a cell, but pass on this.

Ball is drilled just under ring finger 6 length 9.5 9.5 thumb incert 3/4 Revere, bowling on wood med/heavy, box finnish. I have used Storm, Hammer and Columbia for 30 years. this Ebonite floats through the mid lane and finishes as strong as any ball I have ever thrown. one game under 200 out of 9 games.
although I have never had an arching ball I am pleased I got this one.

I have the V2 sanded (drilled pin under bridge)and it is the biggest hooking ball I've had and its polished. So I got a gamebreaker and drilled it to get down lane just a little bit more 55 x 5 x 45. at first it would react off friction too early and roll out, so I threw some high gloss polish on it and boom. Probably the best reaction and hit I have ever gotten out of a bowling ball. Now sure, I'm a bowling nerd and speak highly about plenty of bowling balls, but I have finally found that bowling ball that is my goto favorite. In the near future I will have about 5.
so if you have one and dont like it, Ill take it off your hands. If you want a super smooth, best midlane roll out there and a great hitting bowling ball pick up a gamebreaker!

Lefty stroker with allot of revs, ball speed 15 ball weight 14. Usualy comimg over the 7 board. Pin above the bridge CG kicked out a little but not enough for a weight hole. curent avg. 219 and 215
My bench mark every were I go beacuse it is such a true read.Usualy only 2 games and then it has to got back in the bag for something that has less mid lane read.The house I shoot most of the time right now plays short to me (even for a lefty). After 150 games has not lost any boards or hitting power I do baby my equipment with cleanings and resurfacing regularly.
Great flexability with the cover. I have it at 4000 with some polish for the short lanes I'm shooting in right now and have taken it down to 1000 no polish for the PBA season and it matched up well for everything but the Chetta just needed to change my targets and pace. (Used MY Cell For the Shark)
My brother is a cranker and playes like every boards on the lane with his GB and the ball can do that to if drilled properly and that type of shot is in you arsenal.
Not as much hit as my Playmaker but find the cover more flexable. For the price it is a 10.

I haven't thrown a bunch of Ebonite balls, but this one was by far the best Ebonite ball I've thrown. I realized that with this layout, the ball was just starting up too soon and had no energy for the backend at the OOB surface. So I took the surface up to 4000 abralon, which gave it some more length and a little more kick at the breakpoint. This ball had a very good midlane read, but either needed a well defined friction spot to throw to or I needed to give it a little more side rotation to get the ball to turn the corner.
With this layout, this ball turned into a great control ball for when the backends were out of control. The best look I had with this ball was in a center where the backends and outside part of the lane typically over react with most equipment in my bag. I pulled out the GB and I was destroying this shot, averaging about 240 for 3 or 4 games. Unfortunately, because of the switch grips I was using at the time and the fact that it sat in my bedroom for a while, it cracked.
I think if I was going to drill another one of these, I would go with a layout with more length and backend so that it didn't become a very condition specific ball. The layout made this a great ball for when there's a little oil up front and alot of friction downlane that you needed to control. I was disappointed about the cracking, but that's the breaks.

I am so glad they re-released this ball. I will start by saying that the Ebonite V2 is my personal all-time favorite ball. The V2 core, which is in the Gamebreaker absolutely defines the ball's reaction. Anybody who has watched a V2 or Gamebreaker roll down the lane will easily recognize the ball reaction. This ball has a consistent midlane and backend reaction. I call it the ultimate benchmark. It works on most medium-high to medium-light conditions, a very broad range of conditions. This ball is extremely versatile. You can also use it to tell you what ball you might need to increase carry percentage. In other words, it's always easy to read this ball to find the pocket. If for some reason carry is less than ideal, then you can either fine tune with hand adjustments or pick up something else.
There aren't too many true benchmark balls on the market, but this is definitely one of them.

The gsmebreaker is one of my favorite balls ever. I drilled this one with my favorite layout of 50X5X35. On a house shot ball has a big backend motion but on sport patterns it is real arcy and very predictible. This ball is always in my bag when i go to bowl on any thig. Bowl to win!

Likes: Ball is very controlled, I purchased this ball after purchasing a pin slasher. They are a great 1-2 punch to one another. I am amazed how much ball the GB is for it's price point. Ball reacts to surface adjustments extremely well. Besides purchasing the pin slasher, these are the first EBO balls I have purchased since the V2 pearl. So far I must admit that EBO is doing workkkkkkkkkkkkk.

I had not previously thrown the Game Breaker until it has been released again and all I have to say is WOW what a ball.
Team USA is currently getting ready for the World Women's Championships and I have used it on multiple medium/longer patterns and it always seems to find it's way to the pocket.
Mine has a 2-3" pin with the pin placement above the bridge of my fingers, cg basically stacked underneath and no weight hole. I have lightly touched the surface with 4000 and it just rolls great for me.
Surely a "go to ball" when I need something to rely on to get in to a roll, yet continue driving through the pins.
A must have addition to your arsenal!
