I loved the coverstock of the TPC Shooter XL(Big Bang XL Solid) and loved the fact that they wrapped a modified V2 core around it. For shorter spotty conditions, sport conditions below 38ft in distance, and light volumes the V2 Clean is one of the best choices I have in my bag.
I have this ball layed out with the pin over the bridge(5 1/2" to PAP) and a large weighthole 6 1/2" from the center of grip on the midline to give me a touch more late flare.
With the pin in the high R.G. position and the factory finish on this ball, I don't think there is a condition dry enough to make this ball check up in early. Distance and an easy read through the fronts in the strongpoint of this ball. On fresher house conditions this ball can jerk very hard off of the spot when playing the friction but in lighter volumes and shorter low ratio conditions, it gives a much better and controlled read since there is less wet/dry to react to.
The added x-hole really gives a strong continuation through the pin-deck which was exactly what I predicted prior to drilling. It's so nice to see a reaction come to life and be precisely what I wanted it for prior to drilling. The v2 Clean is a great asset for the player who likes to keep their trajectory straighter and still see a smooth reaction off of the turn in the backend.
