"Undeniable Entry Angle"

I first heard of this ball's motion from Ebonite Sales Rep John Gaines. I called him when I got them in and he was in the middle of throwing the new Ebonite releases that he had drilled. The first thing he did was warn me that this is not your average entry-level/mid-price ball. He said he cant get deep enough to get it to roll out. wow.

Smash: I drilled mine with my 5 inch layout (pin over middle finger). This is how I drill everything that I havent thrown in the past (ex: new realeases). John wasnt kidding when he said amazingly angular for a mid-line ball. This thing is rediculous... seriously. The pin carry in surprisingly great too. I normally have carry issuses with weaker blocks. This ball does not have a weak block!!!!!

Another must have from Ebonite for somebody looking for a ball with a lot of down-lane hook and angle.

Ball: Smash
Weight: 15lbs
Pin: 4 inchs

Drilled this ball with the pin to the left of the middle finger and the cg below my ring finger down (about an inch from my thumb). This ball gives me the most versatility out of all four balls we have released in June. It is clean through the fronts but is easily manipulated on the backend. I can make this ball go straight, or turn a sharp corner. It has gotten me out of a few jams already in my pba league. This ball is best when the track goes up in flames.

GOT MY BALL WITH A PIN OF 2-3 INCHES, I DRILLED IT WITH THE PIN ABOVE BOTH FINGERS AND THE CG SWUNG OUT A BIT, DIDN'T NEED A WEIGHT HOLE. I LEFT THE BALL OUT OF THE BOX FINISH FOR THE TEST ON A FRESH HOUSE SHOT. THIS BALL IS VERY CLEAN THRU THE FRONTS AND GET THRU THE MIDLANE WITH EASE, BUT WHEN IT GETS TO THE DRY PART IN THE BACKEND THIS BALL MAKES A VERY SNAPPY MOVE TO THE POCKET. THIS BALL WOULD BE BEST USED ON A MEDIUM TO LIGHTER OIL PATTERNS. THIS IS A VERY GREAT BALL FOR THE PRICE POINT IT IS IN, I RECCOMMEND THIS BALL TO ANY TYPE OF BOWLER, AND HAS A GREAT SHELF APPEARANCE.

I have the Boom and Smash drilled the same.  Pin is 5" from PAP and 3" from VAL, MB at 65 degrees.  My Smash hooks a bit earlier than my Boom and continues very strong down the lane.  The Boom and Smash work excellent for me when I need slightly less hook than my high performance equipment (i.e. GameBreaker and Magic Series).  Don't let the price fool you!  There is plenty of performance packed into both of these exceptional balls!

Hello everyone,

My Smash was drilled 80 X 4 X 70 (PAP- 4 7/8 over & 5/8 up) w/ an extra hole on the VAL (grip center through CG). The extra hole bit was 19/32 and drilled 3" deep.

I like this piece on broken down house shots and fresh PBA/Sport patterns in the 35-38 foot range.

I have the ball at its box finish which is 1000 abralon w/ factory finish polish.

This piece is easily 4-5 boards stronger than the Boom. I have a review posted on that ball as well.

The Smash and Boom are great compliments. I can go 5 right with the Smash and get my hand around the ball with more axis rotation or square up 5 boards left and roll the Boom end over end.

Overall the Smash has more total hook and more backend recovery then the Boom when thrown the same way on the same line.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.

Definitely the best ball I've had in my arsenal in a long time. Whenever I'm having trouble finding a line, or can't seem to get anything to carry, this is a great go to ball. I used a 70 x 6 x 55 Mo Pinel Dual angle on it, and have an ultra consistent look from foul line through the back of the pin deck. I've drilled up several for myself and for customers, and haven't had a negative review yet on it. Definitely a great choice for a benchmark ball for high rev players, and a must have for any bowler looking for great power at a great price point. It has been discontinued from the current line, but I greatly recommend grabbing one if you get the chance!
