JUST got this ball and threw 8 games with it.  Typical apex (same core).  Rolls real nice, hits like a turd until you find that perfect match of roll and ball spead and break point.  My ball driller told me that it would roll early and maybe burn up it's energy as we put the mass bias in a strong position, pin about 1 o'clock stacked to the cg.  So I'll have to find some heavy oil to see how it works on that.

I did line up on the medium/dry lane condition I used it on, and threw about 16 in a row on the one lane, but I couldn't line up on the other lane with it to carry.  The lane I lined up on well was a typical house pattern oiled about 41 feet.  It was a tad on the wet/dry side, so I initially tried to line up outside...too dry.  I kept moving in and kept tapping like crazy.  So I finally got deep enough (5th arrow to the anywhere outside of 6, trying to hit the 1 board), and it struck like crazy.

This will be a decent condition ball for me as I'll save it for heavy oil or super dry backends, but I don't expect it to stay in my bag for too long.  For now, I'll give it a low grade as it doesn't seem to be anything special.

C- 70%

UPDATE--Ok, have had it for a few weeks now.  This ball is a great house shot ball.  It gives you lots of area, but the carry is less than fantastic.  I will only use it when I can play out with it, or fire beebies at the pocket from about 9 and out.  It doesn't hit for anything when you get inside with it, at least not with the drill pattern I used.  It still rolls early and sets in the back end.  I imagine a wet/dry shot with scorched backends would be the perfect shot for this ball.  Even flooded lanes would be a good condition for this ball as long as the heads are also flooded.  I'll upgrade this ball a little bit, but not too much as the carry just isn't that good.

C+ 79%

I got this P-Pursuit a week and a 1/2 ago, anyways.my ball was done at a "12:00 Leverage",1" inch out and my two fingers and thumb holes straight down, but this time its for a LEFTY.Umm,yaaaaa,I bowl left too!Not as good as my right,BUT I need to rest my right arm sometimes.Nuff said, its test time, another MEDIUM oil night again. This ball hooks very nice, real clean too! Also if you throw it out a board two it will still roll good. One can tame this ball it takes a while though. You cant throw it too far NO matter what ball it is and expect it to "super hook"!Well,I know another person who has the same EXACT ball and his is set at REV LEVERAGE.His hooks nice I guess.Either way "MINE or HIS",both ways HOOK NICE.The only thing is I noticed is its a little tough for "7 pins".No big, just change b-balls or throw it harder or flatter.I've really had no problems with this so far, ummm I havent tested this on "sport shot" yet,BUT I'll get there.Looking foward to it as well as dry and light oil too.
Overall rating "A".This is a great ball for a MODERATE price, this ball is a good piece for any arsenal. Its up to the individual,I just test these for fun.I have a neat collection of b-balls.I dont care/mind what company makes em.

I drilled this ball with the pin 5 1/2"  from my PAP and the mass bias 4" from my PAP.  I also put some Powerhouse Particle Polish on it.  I tested it on synthetic lanes on a 37 foot pattern that was a real nice blend.  Roughly 60 units in the middle on down to 8 units outside.  I couldn't create enough hold to play up the boards anywhere, but I couldn't get enough recovery when I really tried to loop it either.  If I played just a bit of a swing, 5-6 boards, it really opened things up.  Once I got this angle through the heads going, it was very easy to strike with it, carry was not an issue.  Then I took it to a slicker center that had 90 units in the middle with maybe 5 units outside, and I could still play that 5-6 board swing, but I could also square up and play up the boards with plenty of hold, (and tug room galore).  So matched up right, this ball will give you all the performance you want.  I have been very pleased with this ball, about the only thing I haven't been able to do with it, is loop the ball a lot and get boomerang recovery.  Of course anyone who reads the spec sheet knows that this ball wasn't intended to do that.  I love it when balls do what they are suppose to.

The Predator Pursuit by Ebonite should be the best Predator so far, and could be a home run ball.  This ball combines the original Apex core and the great Trimax coverstock of the solid Vortex 2 although the color looks just like the original Apex. The ball is slightly loaded with particle and it seems to help out the core-coverstock combination roll strong in the midlane area with nice transition on wet/dry shots.
The layout on my Pursuit is pin above finger level at 4 ½ from my PAP the CG is at 3 inches and the bomb is in a strong position. There is a balance hole on the VAL 2 inches below the PAP. The starting pin was out 4 inches and the top weight was 4 ounces.
I have used the ball in both box condition and polished heavily with luster king machine at a bowling center. This ball performs well in either condition. I have rolled on wood lanes with a heavy build up in the center, synthetics with similar conditions, broken down hooking wet/dry on synthetics, and short, medium and long distance sport conditions. On all conditions where there was an oily laydown area this ball had a nice combination of heavy predictable roll and moderate backend angle.
The Predator Pursuit so far looks like it could be an awesome ball considering the medium price range does not have too many asymmetrical core balls with top-flight coverstocks.  I would highly recommend the Predator Pursuit to anyone who either like the Apex or Vortex series and it should be a fit for anyone looking for strong roll out of a ball with a moderate price tag.

I drilled the Predator Pursuit with 4 1/2" pin above finger height and the bomb above thumb on grip centerline. This put the thumb into the locator pin. I got a strong midlane move and then a weak arc and quit on a wall on guardian and on PBA pattern B2. This ball is to strong out of the box for my soft speed and many conditions I see (not a lot of oil). I polished it with factory finish and the strong midlane stayed but the weak hit and quit left.
Inside angles play as long as you don't swing it to much. Just push it to the track and watch a controlled move to the pocket, if you need to send it and watch it come back buy a V2 strong. Outside lines play better with this layout, because the pocket gets bigger with this hook shape. If you have problems with carry, CHANGE THE SURFACE. This makes a difference on all balls, BUT I believe it makes a huge difference on balls as strong as the Predator Pursuit. It can go from a so-so ball for you to your favorite with one or two trips to the ball spinner. Learn to match up and.......

The all new Predator Pursuit was given the challenge and task of following the over all great reputation of the first blood red Predator, and has in my opinion met and exceeded its challenge.

I laid mine out with every thing kicked out and away.  The pin, cg, and bomb are all at 12 O clock ¾ of an inch away from the outside of the ring finger riser edge.  Pin is slightly above my ring finger.  With this layout I am able to count on being there when the lanes usually count you out, the control of this new ball is fantastic while maintaining all the potential in the world of making a strong move at the break point while not getting jumpy or hard to navigate.  I have found that medium to light oil is this balls true soul mate, it just rolls so true and hits very hard when it moves up.

I was able to use it on pattern ( E ) of the PBA, I could play down five, or swing 15 to 5, or play the bank shot almost off the half board at times and kept my confidence knowing how the reaction would unfold.

A super ball from Ebonite.

I started by drilling this ball to best accommodate the over/under factor we see in regionals on the fresh to begin; drilled with the pin right below the middle finger and the CG on the midplane, no hole.  After shining it, I immediately I noticed the balls ability to blend out the wet/dry, but opted to scuff it with a green Scotch Brite pad to make it even more blended out.  I opted to do this so I could create a little bit of area  that I could still miss a little right and have it creap back up the hill.  I have seen this ball work well on PBA pattern A, B, and E.  With that said, this ball looks to be pretty versatile on most patterns.

Strentghs -- To blend out most wet/dry conditions, combined with strong hitting power.  Versatility

Weaknesses -- Dry heads and/or carrydown, for me, make this ball hit weak.

Well- what more can anyone say about any of the Predators.  Superb quality at a great price.  This ball rolls very smooth through the front part of the lanes without "roll-out" and has plenty of punch at the back-ends.  I have this ball drilled with the pin under the ring finger - CG out about 2 inches with extra hole below PAP.  Very impressed with this ball abilty to recover.  Don't be afraid to let this ball fly.

I have my Pursuit drilled with a 4 1/2" pin next to my ring finger and the bomb left of my thumb hole giving me a 105* drilling. I was looking for a hook/set type of reaction. Out of the box the surface was too early for what I wanted but once I polished this ball with factory finish polish, I was able to achieve the results I was looking for. You will not see a big flip on the back end with this ball. It is a nice smooth control ball.
I have not been a big fan of the Predators, but this is one that I have come to like a lot.

Good ball when you need to read the lanes. This ball doesn`t flip much, mostly just a smooth rolling ball.I ended up using this ball at alot of PBA tourneys just for the fact that it doesn`t flip and I could stay out of trouble.I have drilled this ball for a few people and all of them really like this ball.It seems to work better playing the track or outside angles, probably due to the fact it doesn`t flip. This would be a good ball if the lanes are hooking hard on the backends.

Got a new 15lb X-out ball for about $45 (with shipping) on Ebay.  When I got it the Pin was on the CG.  After my buddy weighed it up, we realized the bomb was out of place too.  Had to contact Ebonite to find out what the problem was.  They gave us the answer and we drilled the ball up.  I cannot really explain the drilling because the markings and innards were all out of place.  I have a high track with above average revs, and did not think this ball would work, but for the price, how can you go wrong.

Once drilled, I had it shined up to about 1000.  I just do not see enough oil in league to use a sanded ball.  Used it on a medium to light THS (dry outside 10).  This ball just would not turn the corner.  I would start to make a strong move and just die at about 50 ft.  I figured it was just the condition and just need more oil, or it just needed to be played up the boards, or maybe my high track was a problem.  Anyway, I just kept using it in practice until it got a track to make sure.

Once I got a track.  I started to use it when there was more oil in the middle on the same THS.  What a difference, this ball now turns the corner with gusto, even though I was playing relatively deep for this ball (from 15-20 to about 5-10).  Just a nice strong arc.  It hit a lot harder than I was expecting.  The carry was pretty good as well.  Beware as the lanes get dry and you move deeper, makes sure there is enough oil in the middle.  Without it, it will over hook on you or burn out trying every time, resulting in splits and pancake 10's.

While I do not use this all the time.  I take it out when there is a decent amount of oil in the heads or on a longer oil pattern.

I am not saying that this is the best ball ever or even close to it.  However, I would recommend this ball to anyone looking for a strong, oil ball, cheap.
