I have The One for about a year now. I really like this ball because it read later at the back of the lane. I drilled it 5" Pin to PAP, above finger, and about 50 degree angle. It hit really hard and will destroy the corner pin 90% of the time.  It require strong and agressive hand to get it perform to its peak, but thats how I approach my game most of the time.

It has lost about 30% of its hooking power, perhaps because I have been neglecting the cleaning part for about a month (running out of cleaner but have to wait to get Ebonite energizer cleaner). I put it in a hot tub but still doesn't recover as it was before. I now use it for lighter oil.

Btw it cracked around the fingers, but Great ball after all.

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different result

This is my second review of this ball.  'Found' it in the basement--hadn't used it in well over a year after going back to 15 lbs.  Well, my local house made a major overhaul of the lane machine and has really tried to stabilize the oil pattern, so I brought it out to see how the 10.7 cover would work on this new pattern.  More on the ball below:

The ball was working great standing 23, crossing 11, swinging out to 4, when at 40 ft or so it makes a jaw-dropping left turn and, for a 14 lb ball, just crushes the rack.  I don't get many messengers (but think that's me and ball weight, not the ball), but carries the corner pins very well.  But had to move several times all night, usually 2-1.  So....

Next time hit the ball with a light shine with Beans Secret Sauce.  Moved feet to 21 and line to 9-4.  Wow.  My ave in that league has been a paltry 195, but shot 649 with The One.  With the polish, moved twice all night--did 2-1 in the second game and struggled (was me at least as much as the ball), so went back to the original mark and spot and moved 3-0 from there (crazy, right?).  Bingo.  Couldn't miss.  I love this ball and can see more 10.7 (a Playmaker or One Pearl) in my future.
