The Tombstone combines the strong, oil loving Pro Reactive Resin and Ebonite's new "Bombs Away" core design to create the most powerful heavy oil ball that Ebonite has ever introduced. The Bombs Away core design is the first mass bias core design introduced that enables you to place mass bias in its strongest reacting position - located above the fingers for the maximum backend hook potential.

The specifications of the Tombstone are as follows: Factory Finish: Factory polished Pro Reactive Resin; Color: Granite; RG Rating: scale 1 to 10 (center to cover heavy) 3.0; Differential: scale 1 to 10 (low to high): 6.7; Mass Bias (BOMB): .013; Flare Potential: high; Length: scale 1 to 10 (early to late) with factory finish: 2.1; Backend: scale 1 to 10 (least to most): 10+; Overall Hook: scale 1 to 20 (least to most) dull/shiny: 23 dull/14.5 shiny; Best Lane Condition: heavy oil; Bowler's Style: Faster ball speeds and low to medium RPM players.

A struggled for acceptance in Australia which is surprising seeing as how often we have to deal with drier conditions.  Saw a guy use it in a late shift doubles league shoot a pair of 260's back to back shooting tight in around 5th arrow (Drilled by the previous owner of my Pro Shop) and it was the only reactive/proactive that was getting past 25 feet.  Just 'cause it doesn't hook coast to coast and back doesn't mean it's no good.  Surely the name of the game is score and not just boards covered.  The only reason I didn't get them into my shop was because no-one wanted them.

One of the better middle of the road balls EVER made. Requires ALOT of oil up front if you crank. Mine is drilled with the pin and bomb straight up from the centerline, 726 out of the box! Then I brought it home and averaged 196 in two totally different houses with it. The Tombstone is a very good to great ball if you are willing to adjust a little bit.

Resurfaced with a Haus then polished it up with Ebonite Particle Polish. Ball doesn't roll as early, has better length and actually got it to flare about 2 inches. Seems to hit a little harder. Definately more control. Still a good ball for certain lane conditions.

I just picked this ball up off the internet and what more can i say.  If you want a strong hooking ball that gets through the heads this is a great ball.  If the ball is used on the wrong conditions like many others you are not going to see the balls true potential.  This ball is great for ebonites first proactive ball and lives up to what the company expected.  One of the better proactives out there.

I picked this ball up off the internet from Buddies ProShop for $55 what a steal. My ball is drilled with the bomb at 12'oclock position with pin between ring finger and middle finger. It cuts through oil, reads lanes exceptionally, and incredible hooking power. I can control it very easily with change of hand position and release. Knowing when and how to adjust when conditions change is a must. However, once you are on dry lanes you need to put it this ball away!!!!! Overall, I'm sure there are many bowling balls out there that are more forgiving. The ball hits harder than any ball I ever owned.

Pins Rest In Peace!!!!!

There was a lot of hype surrounding this ball when it first came out several years ago at the local pro shop so of course I had to buy one.  This was the worst ball I ever had to say the least.  I think I threw about a dozen games with it on all lane conditions and it stunk.  On Light and Medium house shot conditions I had to stand so far to left just to keep it somewhat close to the pocket.  After the 1st game I couldn't even use it anymore it just ate so much oil and it out hooked the pocket.  On EXTREMELY oily patterns this ball was fine.  There is no doubt it hits like a ton of bricks but I just dont run into that kind of shot often enough.  This is a great ball for beginning bowlers who are trying to develop a hook.  But once you learn, you'll start to out hook the lanes.
