I've been throwing my friends V2 Clean because i love it so much.  Its probably one of the smoothest rolling pieces i have ever come across. 3" Pin in the finger CG kick out and down 2".  Its pretty basic, but man alive does it hit like a ton of bricks.  Need to get the money together to get my own so i dont wear his out, like most of my other Ebonite balls i fear that it will lose its power after a few games are put on it though.

Have never thrown one.. Just thought everyone would like to know this little story!!    John Janawicz, Technician who works for Kegel..  Shot the Highest Series in NON-MASTERS ABC Tournament 101 year history this past Thursday on lanes 19-20 of the National Bowling Stadium in Reno, NV.. and he was rolling a V2 Clean he had mapped out by Bill Calhoun in the Ebonite Booth at the Stadium!!  300-279-279 for an 858 Singles Record.. and he currently leads the All Events as well with a 2224? I think?

i need some help....its either this ball or the x-factor (the first one)... i cant decide which ball to get ..its a very hard decision...i mean both balls will work on either oil/dry lanes and im thinking about getting this ball cuz its cheaper in price....so i usually throw columbia 300 but im going to either start throwing storm or just use this ball....so if someone could help me on my decision like some comparison ..it would be greatly appreciated!!

Drilled this ball up to be taken to the Nationals tournament. Drill pattern is pin over the fingers with CG about a half inch off my centerline.

Using this ball on house patterns I have learned one thing, when it gets to the pocket expect it to carry. In my case consistently getting it to the pocket is the question. Even when the ball looks like its going to hit light pins go flying off the deck. I've just got to see how it plays on the tournament condition in Reno.

Bowl to Win.....

 Was able to snag one of these to...Loved it at the demo day, so I knew I needed one in the bag. Setup pin over and right of ring, cg straight down. no hole....also polished with black magic.

This is one of those pieces that you can throw on anything except extreme flood. I get a very smooth transition when I get it to the dry, and it's not overly jumpy, due to the polish.. The only down fall I see is that I get a huge amount of flare, close to 7 inches, even in it's polished state, and I get extreme length due to it.. I need really clean backends for it. on the few patterns I've bowled on, i find it to work a little better when having to play more direct of a line, then the big loop, that way it's a little easier to play with, and when I play straighter, i reduce about 2 inches of flare.. I very well made piece from ebonite..

and remember...If it doesn't say V2....it probably won't work!

Got my hands on one of these balls, ohh boy, fresh oil or carry down, it'll find the pocket.  Polished, with the pin over the fingers (left handed), once you put some forward roll on it, it'll carry pretty well.  Weak 10 pins and a 7 once in a while will plague you, but it'll carry 90% of the time.

Reaction:
On my home lanes, they double oil the middles in an attempt to stop the lanes from drying out as fast as they do. Not your THS. Here, the V2 Clean is way to weak, for my style at least. Gets way down the lane and by the time it starts turning it's too late.

Five minutes down the road and on your second shift THS, the Clean is a totally different ball. Stick it out to five and watch this ball snap back with authority. In the oil a little longer, the ball gets down the lane easier and still has the power to kick through the oil and kick out the ten.

The ball can easily handle mediums to almost dry lanes. Then again, I track low. Under most circumstances, the ball doesn't snap and has a nice strong continuous arc to the pocket. However, there are those conditions that make this ball want to really turn the corner. Don't be discouraged by this ball's manly colors. It packs a punch at the pins and easily riding its way to one of my all time favorites. As you can see, from my other reviews and posts, I love Ebonite and this ball is no different.
