Looking for a 15 lbs TPC Shooter XL f/s or f/t
« on: June 21, 2007, 06:47:19 AM »
I'm looking for a couple of the TPC Shooter XL balls in 15 lbs for sale or for trade. I'm looking for either new or used no prefrence as long as the used balls havent been to hell and back. Let me know if you got one and we'll work something out

I have a 15# NIB Shooter, but its the blue-ish one. Wasn't there a mixup with those when they first left the factory?

Im not too sure. I know there is a shooter, not the XL that is a darker shade of purple. Is that what you have?

The Shooter XL was the one that went very straight. Basically the inside joke was the XL was meaning Extra Long! Color is a very light pinkish/purple color

The Shooter was the one that was long and smooth. A purple/blue color

We have a TPC Shooter (but not XL) as well, 15#  never been drilled.

Send me an email if interested.

How much of a difference is there between the two besides the legnth. Is there a considerable amount of more backend on the shooter than the shooter xl? I know the core is the same so that would leave the coverstock, which seems similar to the XL. Any inffo would help out greatly!

According to Ebonite's web site for the two balls, it appears the Shooter XL is longer and less over all hook then the Shooter (yes I know this may not make sense).

http://www.ebonite.com/products/detail.php?PRKey=7
http://www.ebonite.com/products/detail.php?PRKey=6

Only difference appears to be the coverstock, but there's no detail on the difference between the two there.  Just the numbers related to length, hook, and break hook angle.

Unfortunately, I have no actual experience with either ball.  Wish I could help you out more....

Hey man, thanks alot! I've got 3 of the XL's drilled up and they are the longest ball I own. But I think the reason wky I like them so much is because of the movement in the backend. Ill play up 5 on the Cheetah and the ball will break at about 43 feet and the power this ball has when it hits the pockect just blows my mind. I carry more shots with this ball than both of my TNV's, on the PBA shots anf my THS! I'll try and find out more about the shooter and I';; let you know if im intrested. Thanks for your help!

There was a problem with these balls, they released a few Shooter XL's as the Shooter, the lighter purple ones are the XL's.

I had the original Shooter, real good ball, wouldn't mind picking up another.
