Hey, my dad shoots an old solid green tornado, gettin a little old! and that means its got a few battle scars, this is probably a stupid question but are the new tornados the same as the old ones? My dad dislikes alot of hook and loves this ball and I would like to get him a new one but I want to if theres any difference in them.

The old solid "green" one was called the Seafoam Blue. I had one and liked it very much. It was a strong medium oil ball because it was a solid. The current ones are all pearlized with more snap to them. Because of that they may APPEAR to hook more. The solids were discontinued a long time ago (~ 3 years).

If you took some of the polish off it, the current Whirwind may be more similar to the Seafoam Blue Tornado than their current Tornado.

Yep Charlest hit it right on the seafoam blue model it hooked alot, we had crankers that hook the entire lane with it in league. Even for me it hooked decently i used it as my primary ball at the Showboat for 1 season.

Staying with Ebonite the Whirlwind be a good choice like Charlest said already, i think the Jolt Solid would be very close out of the box though doing nothing to it. The red Pure Hammer if your shop has one would be right in the same area also, so that gives you 3 decent choices for it.
