Over/under usually means the box finish is to high.  Try your luck with a 2000 or 1000 grit pad to increase oil traction and smooth out the bounce.  Hope it helps

Most bowlers are not going to be successful on "pretty flooded" lanes with equipment at 4000 grit abrablon. Take the ball down to 2000grit first and if that doesn't work then down to 1000grit. Take it on step at a time to see if you can get more of the reaction you seek. On "pretty flooded" lanes your not going to see a big hockey stick type reaction from most bowlingballs. You want earlier rolling with strong mid-lane.

On flood lanes, imo no.  The new Evolve, Infinite One, Gamebreaker and Pin Slasher are better suited.  But, if you have a strong enough surface and drill, the magic can work.

I have never seen a condition the magic was not enough ball for, period. The gamebreaker and pin slasher both are way weaker on the lanes then the magic. I have owned all of them. And the magic is drilled pin under, if you adjust the surface, it should work just fine.

Hmm..Lets see what I have in this bag...some magic, some hot sauce, a rogue cell,a liberator, and a saw.. how can I loose....

I disagree on the pinslasher/gamebreaker comment.  The magic can handle oil if its dulled up some, but imo there are better options

it also depends on drilling. if it is drilled to go longer down the lane and the lane is "flooded," then the ball wont do much. if the pin is in a stronger location than the weight block will want to pick up earlier and help the surface out (in theory).
