i was wondering what would happen if you tokk the nvs to 1000 grit i have one that i love in box condition

Taking a 1000 pad to it will get the ball started sooner and make it more usable in med-heavy oil. It will cut down the backend. a 2000 pad might give you the best of both worlds.
