What to add in my arsenal?
« on: May 11, 2003, 05:27:22 PM »
Stats
15.5-16 mph
330-360 rpms
Axis Tilt 35-40 degrees

I am partial to Ebonite and Columbia, although I like some of the Storm stuff too.  I am looking to add 3 balls into this lineup.  Perferably Ebonite and I was hoping one of the Regional Staffers or Brian Pursel maybe could help me out since the ball selector on Ebonite.com is in need os some major improvement.

Heavy to Medium-Heavy: Vortex 2 Paticle; 800 grit Stacked Leverage
Medium-Heavy or Medium w/  carrydown:  Attitude 3, pin over ring, CG stacked below(want to replace with an Ebonite ball)
Medium-Medium Light(Skid Flip): Tiger, Ring finger drilled into pin, CG stacked below
Medium-Medium Light(Skid Arc): Stinger 2 Piece Pearl; 315 degree drilling
Lighter-Dry: Tremor; 1 x 2

So now I need a replacement for the Attitude 3, a Solid shell ball to fit between the Tude and Tiger, Something to replace the Stinger 2 Piece pearl that fits between the Tiger and Tremor.

Any ebonite Suggestions would be appreciated.

DP3,
nice arsenal! Well what i would go with is either a adrenaline or a Predator Jungle Green. both out of the box handle the medium heavy oil very well. but this is just my opinion. Good luck!
Oil is served Best with fingers!
Why does the 8 Pin laugh at me!

You could try a 2 vortex II, different drills and surfaces.

DP3,

I would agree with ambi1, if you want to stick with Ebonite, the Vortex II solid is one versatile ball.  Sanded for heavier oil and polished for lighter.  Also, I would consider the Hammer line of balls.  Since Ebonite now owns Hammer, they most similar to Ebonite.  I have the Vortex and 3 Hammer balls (Vicious, Blade Particle, and the Blade Pearl) all excellent balls.  I have 2 Columbia balls (the Wicked and the Sport)which would also work for you.

Just my opinion,
