Playmaker is not going to be very similar to the Angular One, the Angular One was an angular piece, the Playmaker is alot smoother more of a strong arc compared to the noticeable flip of the Angular One

Check ebay freqently.  I've only seen a few of them on there over the last year or two, but every now and then, one pops up.

I just checked Ebo's site and the only thing I see would be The One. If that's doesnt to it then there isnt a ball in there current lineup to fit your needs.......

The one and the complete nv will be the closest to the angular one. Both balls are asymetrical. The complete will hook a little more ,but be more midlane and not as angular off the spot with more continuation. The one will be just as clean through the fronts, but not as angular off the spot.
Just my opinion from throwing these balls.

The NVD will be the closest fit when it comes out. Aside from that the original one is ok. Maybe you can find one used.

I'm man enough to admit I stroke with the left hand and it feels good.

The NVD wouldn't really work because is the earliest hooking of the NV balls (dull surface out of box). If you want something really close to an Angular, try to find a Total NV. They look almost the exact same reaction wise, and it's newer so it should be easier to find.

How are an Angular One and an NVD even in the same category, besides being made by Ebonite. Angular One was a backend monster, and the NVD is supposed to be the new oiler

rocafellarocks,

I'm in a similar position as you are finding a ball that goes long with backend like the Angular One. The Total NV might work with a weaker layout but that ball is more for midlane and backend. The NVD is most likely for heavy oil since it's going to be above the Complete NV. I would have to go with The One as being a ball close to the Angular One since it does have similar length but the backend reaction is alittle different. Another ball by Ebonite you may want to look at is the Smash Time Pearl, I had friends that liked that ball when the Angular One was too jumpy off the dry on lighter conditions. Another really good ball (one of my favorites) is the SR300. Other than that you might want wait til Ebonite comes out with another long and strong ball maybe before Christmas.
