A Replacement for The One
« on: December 18, 2006, 02:31:02 AM »
After having mine for awhile now and wearing it out pretty good I'm looking for a new ball to replace it. Originally when I got it, the OOB condition rolled horribly for me but at 500 aberlon(sp?) it smoothed out the backend, but still maintainded a nice pop as a earier breakpoint. The reaction gave me a much more versatile reaction. So I'm torn between two balls right now, Angular One(recommended from kegel) and a Black Widow(which my coach/driller said would replace it well) So what are your opinions? Which one of these balls would replace it? anyother opinions on other balls?

Thanks in advance!

If you liked it so much, why not another One?

I have it in the Hook Again now so I dont know what the out come will be till tomorrow. I haven't had good success with the hook agian so I'm thinking the worst out come. Well the one reason I wasn't going to get another The One is because my driller said he's not a big fan of them and thinks the Black Widow will be better. Then when I was at kegel yesterday they recommended an Angular One bacause i have slower balls speed and they said that the black widow might be to strong. but my coach does know best, so I guess I'll go with him. just looking for some more opinons tho.

Thanks

I'm with ya nohandsam on the BW. Sportbowler...I have a One that I love and I had a Black Widow that I really didn't care for. The One has better carry and better reaction for me hands down. Again, that's for my game.
Now I guess you have to ask yourself....did YOU like the One? Not your coach...he's not going to be throwing it, but did you yourself like the ball? Get another One. You can spend alot of time messing around trying to find a similar ball to replace it, or you can just get a new One and be comfortable with it right off the get-go....

1st option: I would go with the same ball.. The One.

2nd option: angular one

Threw the black widow on a demo day and it is not similar to the one.
