Title: Antique Tornado markings...

I see an old black rubber Tornado at work every Monday night.  This ball is drilled label, as was almost every ball back then, and I've noticed two small 5 pointed stars on the ball.  They are about 1/4" across and are located roughly 6 3/4" to the left and right of the grip center line.  

Are these factory markings and what were there significance?

LOL...I had one of those, but don't remember a thing about the markings.  I just remember pulling it out of the attic and tearing up my thumb 20 years ago because the pitches and span were so far off  

(I moved up from that ball to a Galaxy300, with three holes drilled somewhere at kmart)

Thanks Michelle, my first ball was a blue Regency 300.  I went from 12 to 16 lbs. and ended backing up to 15 when I got a freebie at work.  

So no one knows what those starts were there for?
