   Mine flushes the pocket pretty well but there ARE a couple of splits i've been worried about.

Surprised nobody has made mention of using Delayed Reaction?

Sorry I couldn't resist.

But on a serious note: We have polished a few and I had experimented with one of mine polished. More length but still not as angular as the Original One's drilled the same way but still very very nice. Great to see Ebonite rebound and release some monster balls.

2000 grit Abralon polish? Do you mean 2000 grit abralon or 2000 grit abralon and a coat of polish?
