Anyone have a video of The One vs. Big One
« on: February 26, 2006, 11:27:30 AM »
I would like to see them thrown together on the same shot. Thinking of getting both and drilling the same and let the covers be the difference in reaction.

I saw a few The BIG One's thrown this weekend at the Lake County IL Tournament on the heavy oil reverse block pattern. The one vs the big one on this pattern went like this. the one for a guy thats a low end cranker about 275rpms 16mph, he was playing 20-10, then I saw him goto his bag, pull out the big one and move 10 boards with his feet and shot 30-10. I was impressed on how much backend this ball had on this shot, so impressed I wanna buy 1 just to own it!

Well, my One is at 1000 grit and my big one is OOB at 4000. My One will have trouble on medium to heavy carrydown and the big one ignores it! What does that tell you about the covers????

With the exact ball (pin.. since top weight doesn't matter as long as you don't need an x-hole)..same drilling, same static weights, and same exact cover prep, I personally do not think they will make much of a different move to the pocket (more than a move of +/- 2 boards). I personally think they will overlap if you keep them that way. Just my opinion. Have yet to see someone with the same prep on both so... We will see. I hope someone can make a video of both with the same prep and layout since I would like to see if my suspicions are true.

Brunswick, Lane #1 and Morich just hit harder... and that's all there is to it!

Video of me!

I was referring tot he same layout, not cover prep. Covers being OOB

In this case 4000 grit OOB (the Big One) is stronger than 1000 grit (the One)! Not only is it a stronger move covering more boards, it also handles ore oil!

I have not thrown the ONE, but have a BIG ONE.  It corners so well for a ball that is not as polished and forces me deeper into the lane.  The backend is not as dramatic as the ONE; however it is still very sharp, and much more than the ONE in overall hook.
