apex adiction

I am a novice bowler avg. about 160 I got an addiction this summer ,a friend was bowling with an aggression and I was really impressed with its reaction and carry power. So I figured the next bell in the series should be better, boy was I wrong. For the first three weeks I was bowling 180 and above ,wherever I bowled wherever I put the ball on the lane it got back to the pocket and carried everything, I thought I had finally found what I was missing in my game, but I was wrong ,it was as if the ball died or something it lost all reaction and became a perfect ball for leaving the ten pin to practice.I have had it dulled ,polished, deoiled, and laslty redrilled ,I dont know much about drilling so I cant offer in reference but I hate this ball!!!I have seen other people bowl with it and they feel the exact same way. I dont suppose the people from ebonite offer refunds or recants to all the hype I have read about this ball and how aggressive it is and all but I strongly recommend to anyone considering purchasing this ball to reconsider, I
have an old turbo-x that covers twice as many boards as this ball this is my weakest ball and is only good for spares,I was recently told by a very good bowler ,(233 avg.) not to take this ball anywhere and try to be competetive

If you have a lot of games on it, get a professional resurface (Haus or Cook Sphere) leave it dull, treat it with Hook Again, then prepare the surface as you like it.  According to Ebonite, that should regain almost all of it's original performance.  Check out getuaload's post in this forum.
