Title: Apex Obsession?
Post by: dicnic on March 25, 2004, 01:58:35 AM
I see that on ebay, plus a number of the on-line bowling distributors, that Ebonite's Apex Obsession is the subject of some mighty cheap sale prices. I have already bought two, one for me and one for a teammate. The more of these I see for sale at very reasonable prices the more I begin to wonder if there has been something wrong with this low RG ball. I have not drilled my Obsession yet and I am wondering if I have purchased a problem.

Any thoughts?

There's nothing wrong with the ball. It is just being discontinued.

I purchase an obsession 2nd hand from a friend.  Pin is about 4.5 inches, mb at 7 o'clock from thumb.  balls rolls well for me.. solid move at the break, not violent, but stong smooth move.  revs nicely too.

hope this helps

Its a good thing I'm not in America.. I would probably bust the bank, getting all the for sale balls ... hehe.. hmm could be a good business plan.

I was going to ask the same thing.  I wouldn't mind picking up something cheap for a few experiments.  Something middle of the road in 14#, and a short pin low top weight for a 315 degree drill.
