The One: 50 Games and Still Going!!

HEY GUYS!

This is part 3 of my "The One" experiment. In my original post, I had an idea of punching up The One and keeping up with how many games I've put on the ball. At the current point in time, I've finally hit the 50 game mark! Some notes to put out there listed below:

The One is still going strong, I haven't seen the slightest case of 'ball death' with this piece. I have continued to clean it every 3-6 games also! Will post an update at 75 and 100 games! Thanks for reading! God Bless You All and have a great week!

Glad to see the experiment is still going strong.  

I know some have come on here and said the ONE series balls die after 50 games.  Well I find that to be complete BS.

Yea most of the same guys claim to be 230 average also, it is the internet you can say what you wish and hide behind a keyboard all day long.

I'm a firm believer in, if you throw it well no ball really dies, it just becomes useful in other situations.

You can't tell someone that what they've experienced didn't happen.  If their ball died after 50 games, you can't simply say "Ebonite balls don't die after 50 games, your ball is fine" and expect that to be true.

Best you can say is "Your ball may be dead, but Steve's isn't.  Saying that The One series balls die after 50 games isn't always true."  You can point out that they need to maintain it more regularly and that a good cleaning or resurfacing might help restore its reaction, but you can't tell them that their experience didn't happen.

Personally, I like that I don't have to clean my Soakers after every set.  As maintenance goes, they're pretty easy.  Having to clean a One after every set to maintain its reaction at 50 or 100 games means its high maintenance (for me).  So long as that's true, I'll keep buying DTs and not bother with Ebonite.

I just threw my One this afternoon; was punched up by Lonce @ Next Level Pro Shop last week. Shot 212, 212, 245, 211 during open bowling. 29 strikes, 13 spares, 2 opens and 1 split. It was a very nice tuneup for me and I start bowling a mixed summer league tomorrow night. Will let you guys know how I do...

Update: I didn't do so well: 172, 181, 173. Only have myself to blame for not matching up to the lane conditions and being worn out from work. But I'm glad about how this ball rolls. I can do better...
