What the REAL story about the SHOOTER's?
« on: May 10, 2004, 01:04:43 PM »
Can somebody give me a brief summary about what the deal was with the Shooter's when they came out a while back?

Wasn't it that the coverstock died out real fast and wasn't really durable? And also that they sent the wrong ball out in the place of another one or something?

How do you know which one you've got and if it's the "good/durable" one?

Not totally sure about the coverstock issue...but when they first released the shooter, they accidently shipped some of the XL's before they were meant to be released.  My shop got one of those balls...it was fun to see one before you were supposed to.

Rick, Nothing was wrong with durability.  It's a solid resin, both of them.  The light neon purple(the XL) were shipped first before they were supposed to, but they had the original Shooter(royal blue) specs.  People were complaining that they didn't hook but they didn't know that they had the XL's instead of the original and the XL is a good 5 feet longer and 3-5 boards less aggressive than the orignal.
