Best Vortex and Worst Vortex?

Best Vortex - Vortex 2. Most versitle strong, yet very precise direction in turn. Perfect flare, somewhat hard hitting ball and may be the most versitle ball ever made in the 00's. Everyone had one or still has one of these in thier bag. It's still usually in mine, usually as the benchmark.

Worst Vortex - Vortex 2 Sweet. There is nothing sweet about it. The reaction is extremly inconsistant, bad core and cover mix. Not the most useless ball in the world but it is good for short patterns I guess.

The V2 Sanded is possibly the best resin ball made after the original Danger Zone. Probably Ebonite's best ball EVER.

The V2 Sweet's main problem is that it is not the V2 Pearl. Why it isn't I do not know.

Worst, in terms of least useful for the genral population, Vortex was probably the Vortex III.

2nd Best....V2 Sanded
Worse, I don't know. I quit throwing Ebonite when Brian Purcel left and also when they quit making the V2 Pearl. I wanted another and there were no more, so I went elsewhere.

It came out at the same time as the original V2. It was a particle cover with the V2 core. It was meant to be for heavier oil and was a logical progression from the V2, but there was something about that cover/core match-up that was never quite right for almost anyone.

The next replacement for V III, and there have been tons of them, was the V2 Particle; yes, it was called just that.

That was another GREAT ball with just one tiny but major problem: The cover needed to be adjust back to OOB almost every 3-6 game block. It absorbed oil incredibly and change texture so quickly. The ball hit like a truck in polished or dull, changed reaction whenever you changed the cover did almost exactly what you needed with every cover and release change, but it was so short lived, not permanently, but temporarily. It needed constant refreshing. Bizarre!

I have only 4 of the vortex line.... And All of them WERE GREAT...

I've had 2 V2 Particles, a V2 sanded, V2 Sweet and A V1

The Particles have been the best for me.. produce my highest games. with 1 300, 289, countless 280s and 279 and a 748.

The Sweet and Sanded are the 2nd Best.. Sweet is the most consistent of the range in my view.... sanded was good but it was a 14pound... so i sold it

V1 is my go to ball when in a hole... always there... got it 2nd hand... stil hooks like crazy...

Close seconds: V2 Pearl, V2 Particle, V2 Strong
Worst: Strong/R, Afterburner, V3

Well I have 2-V2 sandeds,a pearl,afterburner,dry,clean,particle,sweet and now a power.So as you can see I have enjoyed this line.

So of the ones that I have thrown:The Best hands down not even close is the V2 sanded.
The Worst is:V2 pearl It hit very hard,but was very inconsistent on the backend.Don`t get me wrong.I liked it,but comparing to the others it was the worst one for me.

Also I never wanted the Strong or Strong/R.I wasn`t sold on them and judging by how quickly they were here and gone.Maybe that was a good decision.

Hector,I agree with you somewhat,but also when you have the success time after time like I have,it is hard to change. Also Ebonite looks like it needed the V2 line to carry them too.The Apexes,Killer Instincts and other lines appear to have been busts.Maybe the Xcel line will change that and will be the new line to build from.
