Title: Big One Coverstock Prep Question
Post by: BrooklynSlop on August 14, 2006, 12:12:14 PM
Hey guys, quick question. Has anyone polished the Big One yet? I'm assuming that the reaction is very similar to The One... Maybe even a stronger breakpoint? Any replies will be helpful. Thanks!

Wife: "Heh, that's more than you've done for me lately."
Me: "Yeah, well my balls don't BLEED for a week out of every month."

I have The One and Big One with the same drilling. I have The One at its factory finish, and I decided to take the Big One up to the same specs, 4000 grit abralon with factory polish. What I noticed in reaction was somewhat similiar, but the Big One seemed to hit its roll a bit earlier and was a bit stronger, about 2-3 boards. Hope this helps.

I have 2 Big One with different finishes.  Even with 4000 grit with polish, Big One rolls earlier and smooth arc as The One is a flip ball motion.
My best Big One was taken down to 1000 and polished.  The ball reads the midlane very well and plenty of backend.
