« on: March 06, 2006, 04:15:59 AM »
how to you keep the big one in the sanded shape without going to the pro shop every time u throw it, mine doesnt hook nearly like it did when i got it and it has a shine like a polished ball ,clean it with clean and dull ,but that only seems to shine it more . my ball has gone from left turn clyde to see you around the corner in an hour in two weeks time.

MOST PRO SHOP CAN ORDER YOU THE RIGHT PADS IN THE FOLLOWING GRITS.
500, 1000, 2000, 4000.  THEY ARE EXPENSIVE  SOMEWHERE FROM $3.50 TO $5.00.
BUT THEY LAST WAY LONGER THAN A SCOTCH BRITE PAD,  THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH USING A SCOTCH BRITE PAD THO,  BUT THEY USUALLY STOP AT 1000 GRIT,  SO IF YOU WANT TO GET YOUR BALL BACK TO BOX FINISH YOU NEED TO GET ALL THE PADS OR HAVE A PRO SHOP DO IT FOR YOU.   IN THE LONG RUN,  IT IS PROBABLY BETTER TO BUY THE PADS.  HOWEVER DOING IT BY HAND MAY NOT BE AS GOOD AS USING A BALL SPINNER.
BUT YOU CAN STILL DO AN ADAQUATE JOB DOING IT BY HAND.  I WOULD DO THAT,  AND THAN MAYBE ONCE EVERY 30-50 GAMES HAVE A PRO SHOP DO IT FOR YOU.
YOU MAY ALSO BE ABLE TO FIND THE PADS IN A GOOD AUTO BODY SUPPLY STORE. JUST ASK FOR ABRALON PADS.
