Is a polished Big One very close to the One?
« on: March 21, 2006, 12:12:13 AM »
I'm just wondering since their numbers are so similar in other respects.  If you polish up a Big One, does it act pretty much the same?  I know the coverstock is supposed to be a bit stronger, but how much?

Some of the reviews posted on this site have stated that the Big One was up to 7 boards stronger than the One; of course crankers would be seeing bigger differences than strokers or tweeners.  I think you can expect to see 1 to 3 boards more reaction out of a Big One as a speed-dominant bowler.

I threw a friends polished big one today and I can tell you that it is still alot stronger than a polished one! Probally stronger than a 4000 or maybe a 2000 grit abralon one with no polish also! went a bit longer and made a killer move to the 1-3!
