15lb 'vs' 16 lb
« on: October 06, 2006, 03:53:14 AM »
I need a little help...I am getting a SR 300. I have a Columbia Messenger Ti Pearl at 16#'s and I like it.  I want to know some experiences you people have about mixing weights up. Should I try the SR 300 in 15 lbs or stay with the 16lb ball???  Thank you in advance....

I tried switching to 15 lbs. about 2 years ago.  I switched back to 16 lbs. last winter.  I felt my carry wasn't as good with 15 lbs.  Based only on my observations, IMO the straighter you throw the ball, the more likely you are to like 16 lbs. instead of 15 lbs.  The people who cover a lot of boards don't seem to have the carry problems and in fact often times have better carry.
