Big Time CORE
« on: April 20, 2005, 04:08:52 PM »
I wrote to Ebonite to clarify the Big Time core, if it is the same as the Apex Adrenaline than it should be an asymetrical core BOMB's core, howere the Big Time dosn't come with a marked Bomb (MB) and the drill sheet is a symetrical drill sheet.

Here is the reply.....

quote:
You are right on the money about the drill sheet discrepancy.  The core is an exact duplicate of the Adrenaline.  I'm trying to find out why the locator pin and bomb aren't on the Big Time and why the Bomb's Down drill sheet isn't inside the box.  The Symmetrical layouts work fine so there isn't an issue about proper layouts.

I'll get back to you when I have an answer.

No need to mark the MB on the ball anyway MB diff is low anyway. I have not spun one these on a determinator but I bet it spins up slow and i bet the MB changes when the thumb hole is drilled.

NLPS,

Can you spin it so that we know the spin time?  I don't have a determinator in my shop, in fact I am trying to build one myself

I don't have one either i will ask KTOM to do one in his spare time. I will bet this core is a "Z" spinner.

Another email from Ebonite,

quote:
We simplified the layout sheets trying to make this ball easier to drill.  It does have the same core and the mass bias rating as the Adrenaline.  The MB is in the lower end of the spectrum and does not warrant issuing the original set of drilling instructions.  The symmetrical layouts all work fine.
