I am the proud owner of an Apex Obsession. At first it was a little hard to get past it's purple coverstock, but it easily outperforms my Columbia Messenger and Ebonite Apex. The only thing that has me a little concerned about this ball is that the pin seems to have risen out of the ball a little like a blister, and is soft to the touch almost like a pencil eraser. I've thought about scraping it off, but it doesn't seem to be getting any worse, and I wouldn't want to do any undue damage to the ball. Has something like this ever happened to anyone else here? I thought pens were solid. I hear about them cracking, not rising like yeast-infected dough! Please help!
