Title: Big Time Pearl Replacement
Post by: AngloBowler on November 08, 2007, 08:16:08 PM
I'm planning on replacing my big time pearl at some point in the near future, and was wondering if anyone knew if Ebonite was planning on bringing out another pearl particle, as I love the BTP...

I'm looking at the Sidewinder or a weak drilled shift as a replacement. Questions? Comments?

I haven't heard anything on the particle pearl front, but if you throw 15lbs. contact BrunsNick because he might have one left at a ridiculously low price. I almost bought it last month when I was in California.

I'm surprised Ebonite doesn't have something pearl particle.  I love the reaction you can get from a pearl particle.  A little extra length and a little more pop than a solid, but less skid and more consistency than a pure pearl.  The Storm Shift and MoRich Awesome Revs are fantastic aggressive asymmetrical pearl particle balls.  The Sidewinder will be a little weaker and smoother than those two with the same drilling and surface prep.

Ebonite doesn't really have much in the way of particle balls now.  The Smash Time was the last particle ball they made.  With the new super-strong oil-absorbing reactives like the One and NV lines, there's not as much need for particles to make their oil balls.

Thanks for the thought, Ken, but I think the shipping would be a little extreme...
I think I can get my hands on a BTP for a decent price, but I was just wondering if there was anything else around like it.
