Using oven to get oil out of bowling ball...
« on: May 30, 2009, 07:07:34 AM »
Wanted to know if anyone is still using this trick to get your ball back to its glory days and two, does it harm your ball? I have an older Ebonite XXL that I got new and I love it to death! But, I'm realizing that this PBA Experience league, is gonna give me and my equipment help when it comes to the oil. So, out side of cleaning after every use, can I use the oven trick at home, or do I need to take it to a proshop? Thanks in advance.

When you''ve moved up, moved back, adjusted left and right, cupped, flattened out, have thrown everyting in your arsenal, and the pins still don''t cooperate, just say, "Aw to HELL with it!", and throw the ball!

No damage to the dish washer that I have found.

As far as the plate racks they should fold down out of the way with most modern dishwashers.

I was doing the dishwasher method until the proshop opened in our center now I use the Revivor method.
