Why don't you blame USBC, or ABC? they are the ones that made the ball specs (and all equipment specs) and they are the ones that set the lane surfacing specs and oiling requirements. They are also the ones that told the local associations that we don't have to do zero lineage every 45 days anymore. We only have to inspect the centers every year. They took away all penalty points for centers that are not in compliance, so my question is "why bother to inspect?" They allow some 17 year old joke the get two sancitoned 900s. You write them with grievances of late honor awards and league sanctions and they do not uphold their own rules. You put in complaints of blatently ineffectual secretaries and they give them a slap on the wrist, while the local assoc. still has to deal with their repeated ineffectualness and lack of duty to their job (that they get paid for tax free) and bowlers.
Its not the ball manufacters' fault they are only making equipment to the specs provided to them and what the majority of the public wants.
