Does the warranty with ebonite cover cracked bridges. The bridge on my magic cracked a week ago?

depends on a couple of things
how wide is your bridge?
and do u use grips? if so i believe super glue voids warranty

Depends on how wide ur bridge is. If u use grips I would recommend not putting glue on the side of the bridge. It can make the bridge brittle

I don't use grips. The bridge is about 3/8 of an inch in length?

It will be covered if less than a year old.. Take it back to where you bought it. Grips and super glue will not void the warranty, as long as the bridge is 1/4" or more wide.

It's a cracked bridge....not the end of the world. It can be drilled out and plugged, and that's what Ebonite is going to tell you.

They're not going to replace a ball for a minor defect, especially one that can be fixed by plugging. You're just looking to get something for nothing. Fix it.

No, its not the end of the world, but it will be at Ebonites discretion whether to replace it or not. I bowled with an OVERTIME that had a cracked bridge for half a season and it never cracked out, so it really won't hurt unless it cracks out.

If they do replace it, great. If they don't, then do as suggested and fix it if you just don't like it. Plugged with clear, it is still P.B.A. legal if I'm not mistaken, and perfectly fine to use.

Another factor is whether either of the finger holes are too close to the pin, even though that isn't where the crack is.  I hear that you aren't supposed to put any holes closer than 1 inch to the pin.

I don't buy into that "don't put the finger holes closer than 1" to the PIN" thing. Well, I should say that I'm not sure if I do or not. I've drilled into the PIN on 3 balls, 2 of them developed cracks around the ring finger. The other did not.

Either way, I have a ball with a cracked bridge that I still use occasionally. Nothing wrong with it. On the other hand, I've seen people walk into the shop with balls that started as a cracked bridge, and completely cracked out around the fingers, rendering the ball useless.

Same here.  Cracked bridge doesn't really hurt anything, unless it gets worse, but even then can be fixed by a plug job.

Like it is, you could just drill out the cracked area, plug it and the finger holes, then redrill the fingers. Use clear plug and the ball is still PBA legal.
