Post by: Hellbound on June 26, 2008, 06:34:50 PM
Anyone able to compare these two?Given the same drill and both at OOB which would be smoother off the spot?

I have both and the Rival is def smoother off the spot. But the Complete is 3-5 boards stronger. I looooove both these pieces but for more control go with the Rival.....

Don't forget that in their OOB condition, the Complete NV is a gloss polished pearl and the Rival is matte finished solid resin. That alone should given you somewhat of a picture.

If they were both gloss polished or both sanded to 4000 grit Abralon, the story might be different.

At the same finish the Complete probably pushes a touch further and is 4 boards or so more due to backend motion.  Oob, the complete and rival will be of similar strength, but the Complete will have a much more skid/flip ball motion.

This is an apples/oranges comparison, the Rival reads the midlane and is more of a strong arc and the Complete (I suspect, I got a free one that's in the pro shop getting drilled) is much more skid flippy.

Thanks guys...For some reason I thought both balls were a matte finish.
