Comming Back From A Break
« on: June 27, 2008, 04:09:49 PM »
Okay So Im Comming Back From Just About A Two and a half year break. I was looking for a completly new arsenal to start off the summer season with. i am a lefty with high revs and ball speed around 17-19mph. the house shot is usually medium-oil. i was looking for two new balls that have a good backend to them and will react hard at the end. open to any suggestions thanks

It would be useful to know what stuff you have had success with in the past, but going on your reaction description, I'd reccomend a Complete NV and a Playmaker.  The Complete should cover the heaviest stuff that you'll see on a house shot, and you'll get that long and strong reaction that you want.  The playmaker should cover the conditoin when you experience breakdown.  It won't be quite as skid/snap in motion, but it should still have plenty of energy downlane.  Though I can't really offer drilling advise without your specs, I wouldn't hesitate to elevate the pin with the Playmaker.  For it to be a ball thats a step down from the Complete, you'll need to have a higher pin.  The ball has a really low rg core design, so the higher pin will act to counteract that, and it shouldn't make the ball get too far downlane.

Start with the Gamebreaker/Playmaker. Good 2 ball combo in the midpriced range to get started with.

As far as ebonite equipment goes i would go with any of the Total or Complete NV, and the playmaker or gamebreaker because i think these balls or prety similiar and can be adjusted easily.
