Black Ice

Bought a black ice the other week as it was recomended to me by my pro shop as a light oil ball. However, it hooks far to much and seems to work best on medium lanes at the moment. Is there anything I can do to the surface to match it up better for dry lanes? The surface is currently in an out of box condition.

Redrilling would be further down my list.

1) Add polish to the surface you have.

2) Sand finer (1000-2000 grit) and add polish.

3) Redrill weaker, then experiment with surface prep again.

Cheers. I'll try and sand it but if that doesnt work i'll get it redrilled. What kind of drilling would you recomend? Currently it has a 5 inch pin about an inch above and 1/2 an inch to the right (right handed) of the ring finger with a 2 inch deep balance hole near the PAP (dont know how to explain this exactly.
