Demo Days was very successful today. We ran it from 10-5(530). I walked in about 1pm and we had quite a few folks already bowling. I stepped up to the table and started fitting the folks in line. After an hour or so, the Complete NV came back with my span.
The layout was 5 1/2 from the pap, with the mb about 1 1/2" right of thumb...call it a 60* layout. We put out the house shot on 3 pairs and the Shark on one pair.
On the house shot, the CNV was really good. This CNV was sanded to 2k with no polish. I don't think I missed at all, once I got lined in.
I moved down to the Shark and it was blown to bits. I've never seen it that dry. I tossed one up from 12 to 8 and crossed over. I made a big move left, looked about 22. I strung a few strikes in there, left a few 10s and threw a couple out the window.
I went back to the table and worked for a few more hours. In the final minutes, I grabbed a Raid, box condition, same layout. On the now burned up house shot, it was REALLY good. I could bump the track without overreaction. Carry was pretty good too. It outperformed the CNV on the Shark, it just matched up better to the drier pattern. I was able to stay right and more direct thru the heads. We turned on a pair with some relatively fresh oil(house shot), the Raid was pretty good here too. I was standing MUCH further right, about 8 boards and looking 4 further right. The hit and carry were still very good. I was very pleased with this 1-2 combo. I think they would make a great arsenal.
The favorites:
Strokers: Complete NV, GameBreaker
Tweeners: Total NV, Complete NV
Crankers: Raid
The new LOCKABLE bags were really cool. They had new wrist braces, gloves, polishes, cleaners, Abralon pads, tape, skin protective tape, etc just to try out.
Overall, I was very impressed and thankful Ebonite provides this service to bowlers.
