Which ball?
« on: April 25, 2006, 12:29:00 PM »
With in a month my 3 and 5 games average were 115 to 130 with highest score at 197 with a vintage, mis-drilled Manhattan Rubber which is usually unpredicable and soaks up the oil making it hard to hook properly.

I have selected Overtime and Big time, but whats ur input? I am not lookin to burn my wallet, just a ball around $100s.

BTW Is buddiesproshop.com good? they got a good deal for over time and big time. free shipping with free 2 ball tote. not 2 balls but each come with free shippin and 2 ball tote for 99.95

Thanks

is there an website that explains the specs of ebonite balls, similar to storm bowling.com where they explain the specs and have some layouts on the hook, etc?

Ok been looking around ebonite trying to understand some bowling terms. I mean im not new to the bowling action but im green when it comes to the terms of bowling. My release is at 4:30 for some kind of axis rotation. i usually use the dot right of the 10 dot, i use the inside track to track area at 35's before the breaking point. My ball speed would be around average. Would Big hit be the right choice for me?

after getting a 6 game 142 avg. I noticed that my Manhattan rubber ball didnt soak up the oil. Im assuming i would bowl on medium to medium heavy oil conditions. Since Big Time is suited for Heavy oil, would Overtime meet my needs? Or what grit should i sand to if i get Big time? If anyone knows what oil conditions tend to be at bowling centers in the KCKS Metro area? (Overland Park, Olathe, Shawnee)
