Im having "Overtime" problems
« on: February 09, 2006, 08:03:33 PM »
well i wouldn't call it problems just...disagreements. This week and last week on a fresh shot my overtime has been revving a tad bit harder than normal and every 4th frame the ball hits so hard i leave solid 8 and 10 pins. Or  I would send it straight down and into pocket and it looks GREAT and i release form and get ready to stand up.....AND the ball would flip so hard it'd move off the path to pocket and SMASH into the head pin.
i tried moving and slowing down and easing off my release. Not saying it's a problem but any suggestions on fixing it?

BY NO MEANS AM I COMPLAINING.

From what I read, if this happens every 4th frame, IMO, it's not the ball, but something in you , mental game. Could you be 'pressing it'? watching scores ? needing something extra on the ball ?

I just can't see where any ball, every certain number of frames, would do that, then the next frame go back to it's normal reaction, without something in you being the cause.

This is not a slam on you, I just couldn't see any other reason your ball would do this , then go back to the 'normal' reaction. I'd say you might want to check your mental game, pressure, feeling you need more on the ball , something in that area, more than the ball it's self...JMO

When that happens to me, I put less hand in the ball and increase the speed, It seems to carry down a little better then have a later breakpoint.
