Durability of GB Coverstock (SR300, One etc)
« on: August 11, 2006, 10:49:21 AM »

I was thinking of trying a SR300 but I have heard some horror stories about the durability of the GB coverstocks. Does anyonme have feedback on this? A number of people told me that the darn things started to die after 30 games.

I simply clean mine with Ebonite Energizer Cleaner after every bowling session, and I've had zero loss of performance in hundreds of games.

No performance issues, but had to have my One replaced 4 times in the past 6 months due to the ball cracking. It has also happened to others I bowl with. We are all high rev players. Ebonite has been good about replacing all of them though.

Had my big one since it first came out, must have at least 200+ games, I rarely clean my junk, and it still backends like a mother...

I had The One and The Big One and cleaned them after every few games with Clean N Dull and never lost reaction at all. I feel that cleaning religously is the key to keeping a ball reacting strong.

I feel that I am a lazy b#stard, never clean my equipment, bowl hundreds of games, and it still reacts very well.

50 games, every Ebonite ball Ive had has lost significant reaction overtime. The One died in about 50-60 games for me.

I have had no problems with my One or SR300. My One has over 200 games on it and still reacts very well.
