Title: Durability of The One
Post by: jjlamoroso on March 05, 2006, 10:53:55 PM
Not talking here about "dying" or "cracking", more
about a modification in reaction.
I am tempted by this ball but the uncommon finish
on this ball make me hesitate.
I am very meticulous witn the care of my bowling
balls but I don't want to have to resurface the ball
every 50 games in order to maintain its natural strong
backend.
Could someone who actually has rolled a good amount
of games (150-200)give me his impression and experience?
Thanks
JJ

200gms and still going strong. Havent had to resurface yet. I take very good care of my bowling equipment. The One needs cleaning every 3-6gms because it really absorbs oil.  I adjusted my surface from the start to 1000 grit.  But havent lost any reaction out of this ball.

I have put about 300 games so far on mine. I bowl with it 25 games with practice included and all I do is put the ebonite energizer on there after bowling and I havent had a single problem.  I love this ball so much I bought another one and the big one as well.  GREAT  GREAT BALLS.  I have tried using a green sctoch brite on the first one I have and it worked a bit better but nothing beats the original finish.

i have used One quite a bit (400+ games) and i have never used a cleaner on any balls ive had. ive scotchbrited the back revs when needed.. then polished it when needed..  i prefer to have a good track on the ball, personal preference.

I only use my the one when my Vapor Zone does not finish like i want it too. With about 60 total games on it its only lost about 7 boards of hook but, the hook it lost really turned the ball into something I really like. If those 7 boards werent lost, the ball would actually be extremely too much for me. I am not 1 to really clean my equipment alot as im just too lazy really.

We had a customer whose one lost it's reaction after about 250-300 games. The ball had absorbed just too much oil. Just for giggles to confirm that we put it under a lamp and in 2 minutes we had a river of oil running down the ball. Did a Hook Again treatment on the ball and it brought the reaction back to like mew
