This is a group for people who only throw ebonite. (I figured since the other companies have thier own thing eh why not?)

I am in the process of doing T-Shirts/Hats.

AZ have you thrown the crossfire? I have my XXcel and I love it. I threw front 7 at states with the XXcel. I Bought the Crossfire 9 days ago, I notice a similarity in reaction for me. Just for different conditions/lines. Look into it, its a cheap ball and well worth it.

I've looked at the cross fire, sold a couple, but didn't drill one for myself. I got into the Xcel line, cheap, and those are the ones I love. Still haven't drilled the XXXcel, but the lanes we use is getting a new machine next month and they said expect heavier oil.

Thanks for the info on the cross fire, I'll keep that in mind.

My favorite ball is the V2 Sanded. Owned a V2 Clean, Primetime Sanded, Apex Obsession, Tornado. Never had a problem with Ebonite equipment before but found I like the reaction I get out of others like Brunswick and Columbia.

I've bought my wife a V2 Power, I even got her a XXcel, but I have a hard time getting her Sanded out of her hands to TRY anything else. She swears by that ball, One of these days, they'll stop making it and she'll have to use the others !

Same here with the Xcel Line. I have yet to drill up a XXXcel but I will soon. The Cross Fire is great for playing right up 1 in about anything with a decent amount of revs.

If you tryed to play 1-5 where we bowl, you'd end up in the gutter. It's not your typical HS, oil 1-5, both sides and less into the middle. Strange setup, but those who think everyone has a "wall", hasn't played here.

You're better off playing 10-15 out to 5-7 , than up for 1-5. Seen good balls slide right off into the gutter if there's not a ton of revs on it. Most play 2d to 3d arrow and slower, just seems to work here.

Thats the setup I bowl on every week. Oil 1-6 On both sides..everywhere else..almost bone dry.

I don't think that you must throw "only Ebonite" to be a part of this group or clan or whatever you want to call it. The F.O.S members swear by Lane 1 but many of them have other equipment also. Same with the Brunswick Nation and Track Pack. They just love the other brands a little (or alot) better. Loosen up on the restrictions and your group will develop faster and you'll get more input. Just my opinion.

Charles, can't say I disagree with you, just not my place , not my "idea' to have a 'clan', but I do understand about using other brands, personally, I still have a warm spot for the Storm Atomic Charge.

As far as I'm concerned, if you have one Ebonite, you're in as much as if you had total Ebonite, but that's just My Opinion...
