The Curve and Hard Ball
« on: June 25, 2010, 04:05:23 AM »
what's up with these two new balls? they look very brunswickish. i am not an ebonite man, i am into the older brunswick stuff, but these 2 balls have me very interested in them. i like the core and the dif. don't know much about the coverstocks on these balls, but they look to be pearls. the videos i have seen seem to imply that they are very smooth and have very good carry.

What looks Brunswick about them? (The core is from the Puma) Which is used in a lot of their other bowling balls as well.

my hardball is currently my favorite in my bag. much stronger than advertised. the covers are the covers from the one and the big one.

the core looks very much like the avalanche series of balls which are similar to the rhino, danger zone, and the sapphire zone cores.

All of these cores mentioned before are just simple earlier cores when light bulb cores where dominant. Every company had some kind of light bulb type core. I personally love light bulb cores and I am glad to see them being used again.

ive drilled up a hardball and at first it didnt move... then after a few games the ball came alive. if you are throwing on a house shot or short oil pattern this is the ball to have. you can beat up the lanes with this ball. it does hit hard. Mine is "flippy" but it never has a problem getting back to the pocket. Must have for shorter patterns.
