Ebonite ball info from supplied picture?
« on: September 23, 2007, 01:12:58 PM »
I have an old Omega R that is no longer useable.  I am looking for a new ball, dont really want to buy a NIB, and would prefer to try a used ball that is less cost to me.  My old pro shop has closed, so all of my old info went with the old pro(lol).  Can anybody supply me any information if I upload some pictures.  By looking at the pin and where my finger holes are drilled, can you give me any information on the layout, so if I shop for some used balls on here, I can find something similar to what I was using?  How do I upload pictures to this thread, or is that not possible?
thanks,
coadman

That is an older ball you have there. You could easily upgrade with any entry level reactive ball that manufactures have in their current lineup. Some examples are Power Groove,Saturn,Neptune,Tornado and tropical Storm.

As far as your drill your probably overdue for a refit.

A used ball most likely will have to be plugged and redrilled to insure a correct fit.All proshops will charge for this service.

If you purchase any of the balls above or one like them the refit and drill will be included in the price. You will get new equipment drilled for you at a price very close to what you would pay for a used ball.

Any photos you may provide would be of little use.If you are happy with the fit and roll of your old ball take it to the proshop and the driller will have the gear to measure and duplicate it.

You said your old shop closed.Find a new one.Any distance you may have to travel will be well worth it.

Rack is right, just some ball ideas something that will give you a good look, but not too much. The first ball that comes to mind is a hammer Doom. I would also check out the Orges series from Visionary, I have the solid and its great for the price, if you like ebonite a clash or gamebreaker, I have a gamebreaker and it is very smooth and nice, but hey thats just my 2 cents
